Professor Lariviere’s research has focused on applying economic analysis to operations management problems. Much of his work has focused on supply chain contracting, examining how contract terms can improve supply chain performance. He has also studied how the behavior of self-interested customers affects service operations. His research has appeared in leading academic journals such as Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Management Science, Operations Research and Marketing Science. He has also written articles for Harvard Business Review and MIT Sloan Management Review.

Professor Pearce’s research examines institutional leadership and change, institutional complexity and organizational authenticity in diverse organizational contexts, including the boardrooms of Fortune 500 corporations, the halls of power in national governments and the pulpits of America’s megachurches. His teaching on values-driven leadership, collaboration, high-performance teams, organizational change and innovation and the power of diversity integrates world-class social science with rich organizational expertise and insightful people sense to create challenging and memorable learning experiences.

MEGHAN BUSSE ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF STRATEGY
Professor Busse’s research focuses on market structure and competition, with a particular interest in pricing and price discrimination. She has studied these issues in a variety of industries, including cellular telephones, airlines and advertising. Her areas of current research interest are energy economics and the U.S. automobile industry; her study of the auto industry is supported by a grant from the National Science Foundation. With two co-authors she is investigating how gasoline prices affect people’s choices about what car to buy.

Professor Finn teaches core financial accounting and advanced classes in financial reporting, international accounting and sustainability reporting. He received the Chairs’ Core Course Teaching Award in 1999, 2005 and 2008. Within the Global Initiatives in Management program, he has been a faculty adviser to classes on China, Japan, India and South Africa. His primary research interests are related to the quality and credibility of financial disclosures, especially in non–U.S. settings. His research articles include “Market Rewards Associated with Patterns of Increasing Earnings,” published in the Journal of Accounting Research.
