ABOUT OPERATUNITY

Operatunity was started by husband and wife, Susan Boland and John Cameron. It has become the leading provider of daytime concert entertainment and musical travel in New Zealand. Our audiences are retirees who know the joy of great music, delight in fabulous costumes, and above all - love to have fun!

Here is a bit about us:

We will present eight national tours in 2024, visiting 22 venues from Invercargill to Whangarei. That’s 176 daytime concerts!

Our daytime concerts are high quality and professional and often sell out so book in early. We present concerts at affordable prices in the community, in easily accessible venues, so everyone can come and enjoy.

Our song choices are unashamedly mainstream - we perform the tunes you know and love. We cater for lots of different musical tastes and 2024 is no different. Our concerts range from Rock ‘n’ Roll to European classics, 20s and 30s songs to an olde-time country show.

We only employ professional New Zealand artists. Some people assume that concerts during the day are not as good as those presented in the evening. We think the opposite. Our customers know music and have been brought up with it. We respect that and will only give you the best performance we possibly can with the best artists.

Our singers and musicians may be acclaimed New Zealand entertainers, but you won’t find any divas here! You’ll get to know all the Operatunity family and they’ll love getting to know you too!

When not swanning around the concert stage, you’ll find our artists hosting our musical travel trips. We present around 25 per year, filled to the brim with fun, care, and extraordinary musical experiences.

Now in our 23rd year and still going strong, we bring happiness to up to seventy thousand concert goers and over a thousand travellers each year! We must be doing something right...
