He might be hard of hearing, but he’s very easy to love. Once you hear this adorable four-year-old’s story, you’ll find it hard to believe this sweetheart is still looking for his forever home.
Meet Casper.
Casper came to Animal Care Sanctuary from a shelter in Philadelphia, PA, on Valentine’s Day of 2021. A good samaritan originally found Casper tied to a pole in a cemetery last winter, and he’s been looking for a new home ever since.
While Casper can’t hear you call his name, he is overflowing with personality and is looking for the right family to share his love with. Every car ride is a new adventure, and every walk is another opportunity for Casper to unleash some of his unbounding energy. He might not be able to understand the words “go get it, boy”, but fetch is his biggest passion nonetheless. What makes Casper so unique is that he’s been able to pick up on sign language and hand gestures. He is incredibly obedient, even if the commands aren’t issued verbally. Just this month, the staff at Animal Care Sanctuary celebrated Casper’s Gotcha Day by “singing” happy birthday through sign language.
As much as the staff loves and cares for Casper, it’s time for this four-legged
adventurer to find a home to call his own. but that needs to be met with a love for animals that you yourself possess. You must have the ability to provide training, proper care, and medical treatment if necessary when you’re adopting a pet.
If you already have a pet, Animal Care Sanctuary recommends introducing your current pet to any new pets you’re thinking about bringing into your home. Appointments are not required when coming to meet our animals. Adoptions are available Mondays through Saturdays, and ACS does accept same day adoptions, so come prepared to bring your new best friend home with you.
forever home. The entire staff and volunteers at Animal Care Sanctuary are committed to caring for the animals that come to the facility, and they’re committed to each animal finding their
The one thing Casper is to a fault is possessive. Though that means he can get protective of his toys and of his meal time, that also means he loves his humans passionately. He’s big on snuggling, and if you have any belly rubs to spare, he’ll gladly accept them. Could that be yours? Here’s what you need to know before you’re able to adopt one of the loving pets that are ready for their next chapter here in the Southern Tier and beyond: The first thing you need to have is time and patience. Casper is full of love, Are you the one to give Casper the home he deserves?
