DIVERSITY
SHOWCASE
Welcome to the
DIVERSITY SHOWCASE
The Diversity Showcase is a special opportunity for students, engineering educators, and industry leaders to network, share goals, and explore areas of mutual interest in fields spanning biotechnology, aerospace, energy, manufacturing, power, finance, telecommunications, electronics, and consumer products. The Showcase provides a valuable venue for discussion and networking. Representatives from the College of Engineering will share information about the wide range of programs aimed at enhancing engineering education and increasing access. Outstanding students in technical majors from five Penn State colleges will continue their professional development by networking with engineering professionals. Industry leaders will have the opportunity to share their perspectives on the needs of their dynamic industries with faculty and students. On behalf of the College and our faculty, staff, and students, I thank you for your participation in the Diversity Showcase. We appreciate your interest in our students! We are very grateful to our corporate sponsors: Baker Hughes, Johnson & Johnson, and Shell. The additional support provided by these companies will aid initiatives that enhance engineering education and promote student professional development in the College of Engineering.

Air Liquide develops innovative technologies and sustainable solutions, optimizing the use of air and the planet’s natural resources, enabling progress and preserving life. Located in more than 80 countries, we have more than 1,000,000 customers globally in diverse industries such as steel, food and beverage, electronics, and pharmaceuticals. By using gases naturally present in the atmosphere, Air Liquide separates and purifies them into oxygen, nitrogen, argon, and various rare gases and then distributes them to clientele by pipeline, compression, or cylinders; in some cases, we produce them directly on a client’s site. Air Liquide also uses natural resources to produce other gases caused by chemical reaction for their clients’ usage (including hydrogen, carbon dioxide, acetylene, helium, ozone, and carbon monoxide).
