MEET KELSI Kelsi loves to travel. Native Oklahoman, Kelsi Thompson is the owner and main photographer at Kelsi Laine Photography. Since graduating from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2009, Kelsi has put great effort and energy into developing a top-of-the-line photography experience for her clients. Kelsi believes that a successful shoot, regardless of the session type, begins far before it takes place. She enjoys everything from chatting with brides about the details of the big day to styling a super fun and unique engagement session experience. When a friendship is formed, the possibilities are truly endless. Â Kelsi has been married since 2009 to her college sweetheart. Committed to traveling the world, they have visited over a dozen countries and show no signs of slowing. Together, they enjoy discovering tasty restaurants, hiking treacherous terrain, and loving on their sweet fur babies, Yadi and Roman.Â

As your photographers, we will hold your hands, wipe away your tears (of joy, hopefully), and make you feel as comfortable as possible so you can focus on living in the moment. The best pictures are the ones that are the most natural - the ones that are captured in-between poses. These are the memories we will create for you to cherish for years to come. Style Tip: Color photographs well! Keep this in mind when choosing details like flowers, clothing, and accessories. Don’t get too matchy-matchy... Play it up with mix and match fabrics, florals, and textures. This will be sure to give your photos that extra pop that makes them stand out.
FAQs
Q: What makes your work different from other photographers’ work? A: We take all of our photos in intimate, relaxed settings and try to use natural lighting as often as possible. Our sessions are candid & fun! Q: Will we get a print release for our photos after our wedding? A: Yes! Upon receiving your images, you will also get a full print release. Q: How many photographers will be there at our wedding? A: It is up to you! Although, we highly recommend opting for two. Q: Will we get featured in a magazine or blog? A: Although this is something we aim for, this is not something that is guaranteed. Most publishers are interested in colorful, uniquely designed weddings! Q: Do you recommend professional hair and makup? A: Absolutely!!! I can not recommend this enough!!! Q: How do we reserve our date? A: Send us an email at hello@kelsilaine.com, and we can give you more information on this. A $500 deposit and signed date reservation contract are required in order to get your wedding day on the calendar. Four weeks prior to your wedding, the remainder of the balance is due. Q: Do I have to order prints through you? A: We highly recommend ordering prints through our professional vendors, but it is not required. The difference in quality is HUGE when it comes to ordering through a local printer versus a professional lab, so we encourage clients to let us help with prints! Q: What equipment do you use? A: We use all of the latest Canon equipment - the 5D Mark IV, 5D Mark III, 85 mm prime lens, 85 mm prime lens, 24-70 mm prime lens, & the 70-200 mm prime lens, among other items. We keep backups in the rare event that any damage should occur.
Photo Tip : For evening weddings, plan an intimate first-look so you can make the most out of the beautiful lighting before your ceremony. Guests will be thrilled that they don’t have to wait long after the vows, as most of the family photos will already be out of the way. It might not be the traditional thing to do, but this is becoming a popular trend that we highly recommend!

A Photo Tip : When planning for the big day, remember to include fun accessories! Your shoes, jewelry, flowers, and decor will make your wedding pictures that much more memorable. The more unique the better! If you are in need of a little inspiration, Etsy and Pinterest have tons of great resources! Of course, you want your wedding catered to your own interests, so don’t be afraid to step out of the box and try something completely new!
