Before we dive into the specifics of picking out your outfit, there are a few things to consider first. Creating the perfect photo is more involved than you might think at first, but we will guide you through a quick process to help you make the best wardrobe selection.
WHAT'S THE VIBE? Casual or business? Flirty or reserved? Serious or fun? Posing and expressions will play a big role in the vibe, but your wardrobe can, too. Just something to be thinking about as we plan the perfect shoot.
WHO IS YOUR AUDIENCE? If the photo is going on your new website, does it need to be vertical, horizontal, or square? Don't stress too much about this as we shoot a variety so you have options.
WHERE WILL YOU USE THE IMAGES? Is this headshot going on your new website? Dating profile? Email signature? Company profile? Does it need to match an existing photo? Does it need to be vertical, horizontal, or square? Likely we can make your headshot work in any of those scenarios, but if you already know where it's going, let us know during your shoot and we will make sure to accommodate.

As discussed earlier, the desired vibe of the photo will largely determine what you wear. Dressing in your brand colors is also a good idea. This will help reinforce your company's messaging. All the patterns, fabrics, and accessories mentioned below are a great for photos.

THE WARDROBE
Because headshots focus on your face, it's important to take a really close look in the mirror and ensure all the little details on our complex faces are in order.
Hair & Makeup Guys, pay extra attention as you get ready look at your hair from all angles and consider having a second set of eyes on the back. Ladies, I highly recommend hiring a professional for your hair and makeup. If you have successfully worked with someone in the past, consider using them. If you need recommendations, just shoot us an email for our most current list.
Skin, Face Hair, Nails & Teeth Hydration is an easy way to make a big improvement to your skin. Three days before your shoot, start chugging water. Your body will thank you. Headshots are up close and personal, so you will want all the unwanted hairs to be removed, teeth to be freshly brushed/flossed, and nails to be neat and clean. Tweezers, nail files, and chapstick are great tools. Use them.
The Night Before the Shoot: Take care of skin prep and wardrobe prep the day before your shoot. Steaming clothes and laying out accessories will make getting ready more simple and the whole process more fun.

Beyond
TO EXPECT
Headshots are quick and easy and shouldn't take more than 30 minutes.
THE STUDIO
We shoot the majority of our headshots at the beautiful White Moose Studios - Western Ave. You can easily find it on Google Maps, but it is nestled just off the road on the SE corner of Western & Britton in OKC. There is plenty of parking right next to the building so it's very easy to access in our crazy Oklahoma weather. The studio is full of beautiful natural light making for stunning images. The studio is also stocked with a variety of attractive sofas and chairs to enhance your shoot.
RUNNING LATE Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate your schedule if you are running late. We book the studio back to back so it is very important that you show up in a timely manner. Please respect our time as we respect yours.
THE PROCESS Show up dressed and ready to shoot! There is a bathroom on site so you can take a quick look in the mirror, but you should be 99% ready to go when you walk in. I'll greet you at the door and we will get started right away. We will shoot the 1-2 outfits (depending on your package) in a variety of poses on key furniture pieces that work with your esthetic. Approximately 1 week after your shoot, you will receive an online gallery of images ready for you to download your favorites.
