03 3D FRAMWORK. The study on aboriginal culture introduced me to the Indigenous Group of Seven and the dream catcher. Painter, Alex Javier is a member of Indigenous Group of Seven. His colorful artworks often portray the spread of abstract lines. Similar to the netting of a dream catcher, the interception of lines is a concept that resonates in both of the two indigenous pieces. Through the analysis on the cedar tree leaf, its shape led me to discover the intriguing possibility that can emerge through the connectivity between lines. The cedar leaf grows in layers, and are able to diverge off of each other without any branch. SNAPCHAT. Snapchat is the pioneer for facial selfie filters, it is matter of time before they develop body filters that change the way we look as a whole. Sitting in a snapchat bathtub and staring at his very own reflection, is he recognizing the effect of the filter? or is he just admiring his impressive physique?
TWITTER. We experience so much freedom on Twitter as we are able to voice opinions as we please. We are so attached to the app that we cannot differentiate online from reality. We are subjected to so much freedom online that we forget to strive for independence in real life.
FACEBOOK. Your social status is given by your number of likes, how many thumbs-up can you get this time? We store our likes into a piggy bank and save it up for when we need to feel appreciated. We feed on these recognitions like they are essential to our everyday life.
