Established in 1919, The Evans at Canal Shores Golf Course is a unique, community golf course that weaves through the neighborhoods of Evanston and Wilmette, and has charmed and challenged golfers of all ages for generations. The Evans at Canal Shores is currently undergoing a bold restoration plan to preserve and enhance the course The cornerstone of the robust project is an emphasis on youth golf, and includes a renovation to the holes in front of our clubhouse that will serve as a new youth golf facility, as well as the creation of a caddie academy
Our partners, staff and I truly cannot wait to unveil the new course in the summer of 2024 I thank you for your interest in hosting your golf outing or a special non-golf event here. Originally designed by Tom Bendelow and subsequently redesigned by Todd Quinto and developed by Wadsworth Golf, The Evans at Canal Shores broke ground on construction during the first week of June 2023. The project includes a remodel of all greens, and new irrigation and drainage installed throughout the course, among many other elements. Highlights include a 65-yard putting hole, the new 7th hole, a 30,000 sq. ft. putting green and short game area, and 19 holes. The 19th hole will be used when the first hole is closed for youth programming to allow for a full 18-hole experience. The community gem will still play to a par of 60 at 3,452 yards. To the left you can see our new routing plan for the renovated The Evans at Canal Shores Golf Course set to reopen in summer 2024.

Whether you are a small group of 16 or a larger group of up to 80, The Evans at Canal Shores is a fun and special venue to hold your next golf outing Our friendly staff is here to handle any needs you may have and to make your day special at our newly renovated course.
In 2024, we will have 11 holes available for your event beginning on August 26th if not sooner This is subject to change This next season is a great opportunity for your company, foundation and/or friends to experience an early preview of the new course.
Our golf outing packages offer:
Personalized player greeting and cart staging by golf staff
Information fact sheet on every cart customized with your company logo
Post golf scoring by The Evans at Canal Shores golf staff
Setup and collection of on-course contests (Closest to Pin, Long Drive, etc )
Custom signage available to put on the course (banners, flags, company sign)
Tables for on course activations
Additional carts for volunteers
Post round closest to pin and or long putt contest just off the patio
Access to preferred vendors for food & beverage, tents and linens

Weekdays (Monday - Thursday): $45/player
Weekends (Friday - Sunday) and Holidays: $50/player
Available for groups of 16 or more and includes:

One drink ticket per person
$5 in golf shop merchandise per player
On course special events and event scoring

Special Events on The Patio
The patio at The Evans at Canal Shores is the ideal outdoor location for your special event - birthday parties, graduations, reunions, corporate events, family and friend get-togethers, proms, you name it! Whatever your event, our team is ready to welcome you on the patio. The opportunities are endless for what your ideal party can be.
While we do not have a kitchen on site, we offer a list of preferred vendors or you can bring in your own caterer - see next page. We also have a list of preferred vendors for tent, linen and furniture rentals, but you are welcome to work with your own chosen vendor. For non-golf events, there is a $200/hour rental charge for use of the patio.

Terms and Conditions
Reservations must be made at least 14 days in advance based on availability. Later add-ons will be based on availability
A deposit is required on at least one-half of the full number of players (e.g. if there are 16 players, a deposit for eight players will be required).
No refunds on deposits if a cancellation is made within seven days of the actual reserved date
The group is responsible for paying the guaranteed final number of players confirmed the day of event.
If there is a weather-related cancellation (as determined by The Evans at Canal Shores) or if the group plays nine holes or less before a determined cancellation, an 18-hole certificate will be issued to each player for a future round. There are no cash refunds. Rain is considered a playing condition and every effort will be made to complete the round However, dangerous winds or lightning would be conditions for cancellation considerations.
