Described as a “velvety gentle peach” that’s “softly nestled between pink and orange,” the color “brings belonging, inspires recalibration, and an opportunity for nurturing, conjuring up an air of calm, offering us a space to be, feel, and heal and to flourish from whether spending time with others or taking the time to enjoy a moment by ourselves,” said Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute, in a press statement. And after a year of bright, bold shades like Barbie pink, the pastel seems to signal a refresh.

The introduction of Peach Fuzz also marks the 25th anniversary of the Pantone Color of the Year program. First introduced by the institute in 1999 with Cerulean Blue, the Pantone Color of the Year aims to capture the global zeitgeist and serves as a cultural touchstone.

This pale peach hue, which is popular among social events like weddings and showers, can serve as a fresh palette for corporate events as well.
