Kempinski Hotel Bahia: A beach-side gem in Marbella - Estepona

::: Kempinski Hotel Bahía. A beach-side gem in Marbella - Estepona :::

Black Rose The Bar

Located 45 minutes from Malaga airport, between Marbella and Estepona, this beachside gem has always had a strong exterior identity. But following a stunning renovation last year, it now truly stands out from its neighbours. Architect Akos Bara, and the Zsidai Gastronomic Group, drew inspiration from Andalusia’s iconic Moorish buildings, with their traditional glazed ceramics, strong colours and geometric shapes. They incorporated plants, natural colours, and fabrics to create a modern design. Taking centre stage is the redesigned lobby with its circular seating area, planters, and imposing chandelier, imaginatively created from a large industrial bottle dryer. The design team wanted a particular shade of blue for the lobby that conveyed luxury and beauty, and that connected with the blue skies and sea outside. It didn’t exist, so they created it! Also bespoke, the lobby’s carpet depicts the Costa del Sol’s ancient coastline, anchoring the hotel into its environment.

The peaceful atmosphere continues in the elegantly decorated rooms and suites with their breathtaking sea views.

The 128 well-appointed rooms and 17 elegantly decorated suites have breathtaking sea views. And of course, there is direct access to the beach from the hotel.

Food and beverage were a major part of the renovation and the new gastronomic hub, El Paseo del Mar, comprises a number of excellent eateries. The Baltazár Bar & Grill is brimming with Spanish classics. Spiler Beach Club serves seafood, fresh salads, and pizzas, and as the sun sets, it transforms into an elegant evening destination. And Black Rose The Bar is where you can sip cocktails, overlooking the extensive tropical gardens.

For relaxed dining, head to Spiler Beach Club restaurant and bar right next to the sea, where dishes feature the freshest ingredients from the Mediterranean and the Andalusian fields.

Complete with a 16th-century watchtower - available for private dining and functions - these enchanting gardens are a peaceful haven and include outdoor pools, one of which is heated.

The sun rises over the hotel lighting up the 16th-century watchtower.

The spa and fitness centre has six luxurious treatment rooms, including a duo aqua suite with a private whirlpool, and a heated quartz sand bed - famed for its healing and restorative qualities. The fully-equipped fitness centre has an indoor heated pool, steam room, sauna, and relaxation area. A personal trainer is on hand for groups and individuals, and daily complimentary classes include yoga.

Unwind in the stunning tropical gardens and tranquil swimming pool.

The Kids Club is full of fun activities for children from 4 to 12 years, including pool games, gardening, volleyball, arts and crafts, movie nights, and even mini dinners! The bold renovation of the already much-loved Kempinski Hotel Bahia pays homage to Andalusian design history and gives the hotel a real sense of place.

Fronting onto the beach, Kempinski Hotel Bahia is a haven of relaxation.
