Publishers join in merger
PUBLISHERS IN MERGER CREATE ‘POWERHOUSE’
Two of the leading publishing businesses in Milton Keynes, Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire have joined forces to create a new ‘print powerhouse’.
Lunar Publishing Ltd, which produces the monthly MK Pulse and NN Pulse lifestyle magazines, relaunched the well-respected Business Times in Northamptonshire earlier this year.
Now it has amalgamated Woburn Media Ltd, publisher of the leading business publications Business MK and Business2Business, to create an unrivalled portfolio of titles.
The publications are committed to high-quality news, picture and feature coverage.
“When the opportunity arose to partner with Business MK and Business2Business, it was one too good to miss,” said Lunar Publishing director Kerry LewisStevenson. “They are both titles that are well respected, trusted and have been at the heart of the business community for more than 20 years.
“To amalgamate them into our publishing portfolio will be to the benefit of all five titles, as well as the business and wider communities they serve.”
Both titles are set to return to print in May, having been published
in digital form only since the first lockdown last year. The move has been greeted with a surge in subscription requests.

HEALTH IN THE WORKPLACE
Milton Keynes Council’s Workplace Health Team has been busier than ever over the past 12 months - giving advice to hundreds of local businesses about improving health and wellbeing.
Their focus in the last year has been on managing and preventing workplace-based Covid-19 outbreaks, as well as wellbeing advice from mental health support to helping staff give up smoking.
Setting up supportive health and wellbeing practices can bring big benefits such as reduced absence and turnover, improved morale and productivity, greater job satisfaction and better work/life balance.
The Workplace Health Team can give advice on healthy eating in the workplace, exercise, and alcohol and substance abuse. They also continue to support businesses with practical advice on Covid19 precautions.
