PPE BUSINESS LAUNCH IN UK

ASAP Innovations, a leading manufacturer of medical PPE for the healthcare, automotive, industrial, construction, food and beverages industries has officially launched in the UK.

Based in Ireland and Malaysia, with over 30 years’ experience manufacturing disposable products and a commitment to hygiene control and quality assurance, ASAP Innovations’ 150 certified product lines of masks and gloves are now available to UK organisations.

ASAP Innovations’ products are highly regulated and certified to EU standards and are registered with the European Medical Device Directive (MDD).

General manager Madan Natarajan said: “This year has seen the topic of PPE thrown under the spotlight, but this has resulted in a lot of misinformation and lack of understanding regarding the correct usage of PPE.

“Consequently, fraudsters are exploiting this opportunity. To protect public health, it is crucial that organisations and the public have access to the best quality and regulated PPE from a credible, certified provider. Proper hygiene standard is practiced throughout the development of all of our products and we have a dedicated inspection team specialised in quality assurance which allows us to provide advice to our customers.”

A NEW CHAPTER FOR RECRUITMENT AGENCY

A recruitment agency, which began its life in the height of the pandemic last year, has just moved premises after it outgrew its Milton Keynes office.

Chappell Enterprises UK was incorporated in July 2020 by Mike Chappell and started life in a threeperson office in Warren Park.

But after rapid growth, just eight months later the team have moved to a 12-person office in Linford Wood.

The company, which specialises in transport, logistics, warehousing, grounds maintenance and finance industries, now boasts five full time employees and are on the lookout for experienced recruitment professionals to join their team. They will also soon recruit four more trainee recruitment consultants through the new Kickstart Scheme.

The scheme provides funding to create new job placements for 16- to 24-year-olds on Universal Credit who are at risk of long-term unemployment.

Mike said: “We started out at the back end of the first lockdown.

“Some recruitment businesses were scaling down, so I felt like we entered the market in a more level playing field and probably the best time to give it a go. It’s been a whirlwind. The risk of leaving my previous role

as a director of another recruitment agency was huge, especially in a pandemic. Some people thought it was a bad decision, but fortunately it’s really taken off.

DESIGN FIRM MOVES WITH THE TIMES

When recruitment ad designer Julie King and concept illustrator Chris Coomber joined forces in 1999 to set up 4fx Design & Multimedia, they had a hunch the future would be digital.

Milton Keynes marketing agency, 4fx, initially offered traditional marketing collateral such as logos, brochures and magazine advertising as well as digital design and website development.

Fast forward 21 years and the now eight-strong team is celebrating 21 years of continued success. Reflecting on their journey, co-founder Julie King, said: “We’ve always been a graphic design, web development and marketing agency offering a range of services. Then we set up CodeHub 200 offering bespoke software systems and app development too.

“When we first set up, social media and Wifi did not exist and there were no smartphones.

“Changing has been imperative. We’ve continually adapted as our clients have adopted new technology and their customers have developed different ways to consume media. How they want to be marketed to and the ways they want to buy are in hugely different from 21 years ago. Everything is digital now, which is why we’ve constantly evolved.”
