We have been truly inspired by Amazon’s Day 1 mentality. As a nod to your first day in business selling books online, we created this story following three graduates as they explore life in Dallas and discover the Day 1 District. Copyright © 2018 by KDC. All Rights Reserved.

Day 1
DISTRICT
The Big Idea of the Day 1 District is to leverage Amazon’s corporate values (Customer Obsession, Innovation, Peculiarity, Passion, High Performance) to direct the people-centric planning and unencumbered development of 18 contiguous urban acres, weaving a spectacular corporate statement into the fabric of Dallas’ vibrant downtown neighborhoods. The Day 1 District will leverage smart technology to positively shape the community’s desirable lifestyle experience and attract the best and brightest, collaborative and innovative talent. This unique infill property capitalizes upon decades of successful walkable urban lifestyle including innumerable residential, retail, hospitality, convention center, civic and cultural amenities. Mass transit and freeway infrastructure are the finest in Dallas, the US’s 4th busiest airport (DFW) is 20 minutes away, and Dallas Love Field and Southwest Airlines Headquarters are 10 minutes away.

My favorite thing about Dallas is that you get the hustle and bustle of a big city, but you also get the friendly faces of a small town.

There are many things about Dallas that I really like. To name a few, I would say the cost of living, the climate (not too cold) and the transportation/parking.
