Think of LLCs as communities within communities. Students are grouped together in the same part of a residence hall based on a shared interest, career choice or major. They take a class together and have activities and events centered on their LLC topic. Not only are LLCs a fast way for first-year students to make friends, but students who live in LLCs have

higher GPAs.

ALL RESIDENCE HALLS INCLUDE:

→ 24/7 security → Fitness rooms → Laundry access → Free shuttle service to and from the main Kenwood campus → Utilities include: internet, cable, electric, heat and water → Regular social and educational events hosted by student organizations Learn more at uwm.edu/housing.

UPPER-LEVEL STUDENTS:

Upper-level UWM students have two more campus housing options: Purin Hall and Kenilworth Square. Purin Hall is for second-year students and up. Kenilworth Square is for third- and fourth-year students, graduate students and students 21 or older.

Why I Chose UW-Milwaukee

“I really liked UWM’s strong sense of community. Even though it’s a big school, you’ll run into people you know when you walk across campus. The beach is close, too – perfect for beach volleyball.”

My Team

“Being able to compete in a sport I love with a group of awesome people is the best. I’m so proud that in 2019, we had 15 wins in a row, the longest winning streak in the country.”

Getting Involved

“I’m president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. I serve as the connection between UWM’s student-athletes and the athletic department. We also get to vote on NCAA legislation – that’s pretty cool.”
