As I am just doing the final proof of the catalog, there is excitement and anticipation of this new sale for all to see. The Semen Lots gathered are so unique and very current with many options for you to take your program to the next level. A lot of this bulls are walking in pastures at the owner’s place and the opportunity for you to get some of these genetics is really unique. Also, I have gathered some very popular A.I. sires that sure will add value to your herd. Check out the very rare semen in this book as well, some you won’t believe were around yet. Embryos on offer as well are from the top end programs from across the land; outcross and popular pedigrees with huge marketability. Not very often do you get the chance to obtain such genetics. Some old and proven ones are also on offer as well. There is a Pick of the Herd Flush and your chance to flush one of the best Red Angus cows in the breed. These also need some serious consideration. We are very excited to offer semen on this exciting young herd sire. Hendrix has been a looker since the day he was born, always had that sharp Angus presence and was one we couldn’t wait to showcase. Devon and our partner Thomas Lofthouse purchased Hendrix’s dam out of ARDA Farms stall at Agribition in 2018, the guys thought she had a lot of good about her not to mention the power house sire ARDA Cash Flow 73D she was stalled beside. She grew into a beautiful female with some size and a perfect udder and her first calf to hit the ground was no other than Hendrix 8H. As Hendrix grew so did his look he always remained stout, thick muscled, deep bodied, tight sheathed, pretty fronted and super correct, not only that but his performance was incredible, he weaned off at 910lbs and his actual yearling weight was 1433lbs all without being pushed or creep fed as a calf. We decided to 50K his DNA to see if his EPDS were as good as his actual numbers and they were! He came back top 1% in the breed for weaning weight, yearling weight, carcass weight and top 2% for rate of average daily gain and It all made sence for the bull we had. It was then we knew we had something special and this was a bull we needed to take out when shows started happening again in 2021. Hendrix has been a contender at every show we have showcased him at and feel he just gets stronger as time goes on. He was Reserve overall British Breed Champion at the Barrhead Beef Bash, Champion Senior Yearling at the Olds Fall Classic, Reserve Overall Champion Black Angus at the Lloydminster Stockade Roundup and 2nd in his class at Canadian Western Agribition. The biggest compliment we get on Hendrix is how well he moves, this is a bull that hits his stride every time. Like Father like son! U2 Coalition 343F is so much like his sire it is uncanny! 343F sold as a yearling through U2’s spring bull sale in 2019 for north of $16,000 selling to Johnson Livestock and we purchased him out of their dispersal last fall where he appreciated in value substantially! His sire is known for his length of spine, good disposition and the high quality daughters he produces. His daughters were the talk of the U2 Dispersal having a super feminine look with great udder quality. His semen sold for $300 a straw in that Dispersal sale. 343F has that same body length his sire possesses, he has a great traditional Angus head and masculine crest that impressed us. We believe his biggest positive is the super foot he stands on it is a big foot with great depth of heal and is a solid and as sound as any we have seen. He breeds well, naturally breeding 55 females this spring as well as us using him artificially as well. 343F is certainly a bull we believe in to help our program move forward, he could do the same for you we believe! HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THE DLMS FARM GATE TIMED AUCTION WITH EXTENDED BIDDING:
1.Visit dlms.ca and follow the link to the DLMS FarmGate timed auction site www.farmgatetimedauctions. ca, click the LOGIN/REGISTRATION button. First time users will select the REGISTER button from this page. Fill out the registration form to signup for a free user account and it allows you to select a username and password for use on all Farm Gate Timed auctions. This program will send you text and email messages whenever there is activity on your favorite lots or someone challenges your proxy bid and this is why you will be asked for both your current email and cell phone number. 2. You can choose your favourite lots in this sale at this time and the program will allow you to open either all sale lots or just your favorite lots on your screen. Any time there is active bidding on a lot you have identified on your favorite list you will get a text and/or an email noting this activity. 3. The program allows you to place a proxy bid on any sale lot. This in fact protects your interest in any lot of interest for you to a specified dollar value you set, when you may not be able to give 100% attention to the sale. If the lot has a $2000 bid on it and you place a proxy bid of $3500 into the system, the computer will bid $2100 for you but if some one else bids $2200, the computer will again bid for you, this time at $2300.
