This year’s donation heifer we did not hold back on. We wanted to give back to the Northern group that has been so important to us. 72M comes out of a fantastic mating which gives this heifer a solid foundation, a showy front with some power and substance where it counts. As you will see by the other two Hostile heifers, we have for sale they have a look and make fantastic females which most of our replacement pen will be comprised of. Her dam has a fancy udder and a solid foot under her. This heifer will be something you can get excited about winning.
OBI WELCOME
Once again it is my pleasure to invite you to the 46th Annual Northern Select Sale.
No better feeling travelling around and seeing all the great Northern Select animals across the land. We always have said, this Northern Cattle know how to produce, and the proof is out there. Many females also have been shown successfully over the many years. Congrats to all the Juniors that have been purchasing cattle through this sale.
This year again, the consignors have let me dig deep into their herds and you will be able to analyze them. When going to each operation I discuss game plans for this sale and the future of their marketing and promoting and then we sit and negotiate which animals will do that for each program. We all welcome the new consignors and some that have been here before.
We will again be doing an Open House this year from Friday 2 PM to 5 PM where all can come to the CRE to evaluate the cattle and then come for some Northern Hospitality at the Hotel and Casino that same night.
I would like to thank again the club and all the supporters of this event last year; your commitment and loyalty in this sale is second to none. If any member of OBI or Myself or the sale staff can assist you, please feel free to call us. See you in Stettler, November 15th.

Everblack Rose 3012
Everblack Annie K 5L is a sweetheart of a female. She is beautiful fronted, great haired, and has a nice wedge shape to her throughout her rib cage. Her dam is a nice Natural Law daughter who comes from an old X cow that was a HF Tiger daughter. That is maternal stacked on maternal. The sire is Everblack Upgrade 1001. He would be a full sibling to the $100,000 Brooking National bull who is doing great things south of the border. Upgrade sires attractive, big middled cattle that are good headed and have extended front ends. This is an exciting mating being bred to the $140,000 valued Peakdot Gatsby 135L, whose semen was commanding $400 per straw last spring. There is a lot of maternal in this female and there will be added maternal in the coupon she is carrying inside.
Everblack Rose 3012 is a real stout, big ribbed female. She looks to be laying down a tremendous udder with ideal teat size. Her dam, Brooking Rose 9328, is a powerhouse of a female. She is as 3 dimensional as we have. 9328 is beginning to write quite the production record for herself as well, and we are only in the early stages. She has produced the top selling yearling bull through our sale the past 3 years, most notably Everblack Ace 3004 who brought $32,000 for a half interest selling to Linden Cattle Co., and Everblack Triumph 10K who brought $15,000 and is working at Pederson Livestock and Clarke Ranching. Another daughter topped our spring bull sale last year at $15,500, selling to Ferme Gagnon of QC. Long story short, she has proven herself in her progeny! This mating of Rose 328G and Brooking Sooner is consistent. We have a very high-quality full sister in the replacement pen, as well as a full brother that will undoubtedly highlight the yearling portion of our bull sale next spring!

Here is your opportunity to grab a hold of a female with a pedigree that combines some of the very best cow families in the Canadian herdbook. Combining the Beauty, Blacklass, Madame Pride and Socialites all in one makes for a heck of a recipe. Again, a female that stems back to a purchase from this very sale for us from the folks at Waveny Angus. I think this female could write a similar script for her new owner and be the productive and easy on the eyes type.

Proof of the genetic productivity is seen time and time again from the history of the Northern Sale. This easy fleshing, heavy muscled lady stems back to a purchase form our great friends at Avelyn Angus from this very event. She has proven herself to be a front pasture matron that is ideal in her udder, feminine and angular in her profile, and maintains her condition year-round. We expect these same attributes to pass in with this sweetheart.

After a year off to save some more bred heifers at the farm, we are back and what a pair we have brought to the Northern Select Sale. Allandale Donna 13L is a moderate framed, good haired, well-balanced female that is out of Bar-E-L Global 26E herdsire and a female we obtained from Val Star Livestock Ltd. She traces back to the Coleman Donna cow family. We have been watching this HF Kodiak 5R daughter since she was a calf and has only gotten better as a bred heifer. The Kodiak 5R progeny have been some of the best females across the land. 20L is a good-footed heifer that is also very soft natured. Her mother is a JL Forever Lady 7071 x HF Alcatraz and she is following in her mother’s footsteps through and through. Bred to the breed changer, Schiefelbein Showman 338 whose progeny are still in demand and the sire of our heifer calf in this year’s sale, Lot 23.

Pride 272L comes from the most cherished cow family that has walked the cow pastures here at Avelyn for the last 20 years. Her great grandmother was one our most prolific females we have had the pleasure of raising. For many years no female progeny were ever sold. If I recall this is only the 2nd one to be put on offer. This young female has that broody look that we love to see in our cows that we know will become “bull makers”. She is starting to lay down a beautiful udder, along with that big long top and deep quarter that we find so appealing. The ‘Pride 72’ cow family has been known to wean off some of the heaviest bull calves we have ever sold. So being a direct daughter of Cudlobe Growth
Fund 20J and carrying service to the Sterling Pacific 904 should be a valuable coupon in any producers herd!
Pure Country Misty 1L
Missie 24L is built about as nice as we could make one. Pretty headed, angular, flat topped, wide hipped, yet feminine and perfect footed. Her dam came from the Nothern Select Sale in 2021 from the well known Lindon Angus herd. She’s quickly become one of our best producers, the kind you can breed any way you want. The sire of this 24L heifer is Mar Mac Tiger Hawk 157J, our go-to calving ease bull the last two years who has proven to throw calves that are performing as well as any sire group we have. This heifer was a later baby, so we deliberately waited until she was at least 13 months to breed her to our exciting new herdsire Valley Blossom Executive, an Executive Decision son by one of Beau and Ashley’s very best cows, Lass 13Y.

Misty 1L has all the makings of a powerhouse brood cow, just like her dam who we purchased from Waveny Angus at the Northern in 2020. She has been an outstanding producer for us, always calving early and weaning one of the heaviest calves no matter what it is. Misty 1L is sired by the DMM International son we got from Miller Wilson Angus, and she’s a perfect example of the daughters he has left us. Angular, feminine, good footed and laying down a perfect udder. Count on this heifer to be fertile, milky, and raise a great calf to return your investment, by unique outcross sire Mogck Specialist.

This is another member of the Countess family. She fits the mold that I produce. She is very feminine and easy keeping. Glenrose Fellon was a performance sire used successfully on maternal base females. When Mark from OBI was selecting, he commented on the very uniform set of black bred heifers we had this year. These bred heifers are mated to our Impressive 5L bull that has a 71 lb BW and CE of 8.0 with a BW EPD of 0.5.

A daugther of EXAR Upshot, FBC 6L has always been a standout in terms of performance and phenotype. Given her pedigree, her physical performance is basically a given……. Upshot, Tour of Duty and Dynamite...… all proven performance bulls. Her dam, 10D, by Tour of Duty, has rung the bell with every calf, one daughter to a purebred breeder, four bulls to commercial breeders and now 6L here with her 2024 heifer calf at Cajun Angus yet. At moments, the question as to why I am selling bred arises ……. then the dry summer, short feed supplies and seven other bred heifers are remembered. Hence, bred heifers are being sold and good ones at that. 6L appears to be following the same path as her dam if she does so, then she will be placing her new owner in a revenue positive position. Both bred heifers are mated to Deep Creek Square Deal, a Myers Fair N Square son from Select Sires. He has some huge numbers BW 0.7 WW 82 YW 139 Milk 31 with huge marbling numbers.

Sired by EXAR Upshot, Dark Duchess 28L exhibits the balance and eye appeal typical of his daughters - feminine with long necks tying into smooth shoulders followed by excellent rib structure and length throughout the barrel. All the Upshot daughters at Cajun Angus have exhibited excellent udders with strong fore and rear quarter attachments. 28L’s dam by Schiefelbein Attractive is a larger framed female with an excellent udder and a big hoof who has consistently produced powerful progeny. Deep Creek Square Deal is a Frame 6 herdsire.
RRA 7047E Moncharmer 11L
Here is another unique bred heifer, a Merit Sting daughter out of the proven Moncharmer cow family. The 29U cow really knew how to produce females. This is the fourth female out of this cow family we have sold and everyone loves them with great udders and great feet. Bred to the Premier Rip bull, this is one female you don’t want to miss out on.
Talk about a ‘Blast from the Past’ here. Funny how a case of strategic thinking for our Red Angus herd back in 2018 did a complete 180 and brought us here today. The CAA designated Elite Sire New Design 878 crossed on a direct Bravo 6313 daughter! Maternal magic at its finest if you ask me. Forever Lady 307M is a genetic gem in both pedigree and phenotype. She’s a super sweet made heifer with a ton of barrel, a good foot and a dog quiet disposition. The dam Forever Lady 307G was Kylie’s very first solo Black Angus purchase from the maiden voyage of the Blairs Opportunity Knocks sale back in 2020. A direct ET daughter by Bravo 6313 out of DWS BC Forever Lady 986. She was an April born heifer which made us a little hesitant at home but all we kept hearing was “she’s that kind…she’s that kind…she’s so cool…there’s no photo in the catalogue she might be a sleeper.” As I write these footnotes, I will say I did have to eat crow…307G developed into something special and is clearly capable of passing that along in production. She’s a beautiful cow with a very good foot, a ton of mass and a picture-perfect udder. The Bravo 6313 daughters are making their mark on the Angus breed and cross that with the cow maker himself New Design 878… this pedigree screams maternal potential. Rumor has it there hasn’t been a direct New Design 878 daughter for sale at public auction for a little over a decade. Let’s see who’s ready to take a walk back in time on sale day.

Her neck comes out of her shoulder nice and high and has that proud up headed look to her. She profiles extremely nice from the side and most certainly does not disappoint walking away! Country Lane Tiptop 5M
10M is an attractive, soft-made heifer who is smooth fronted with correct lines throughout. Her dam, OAV 15H, was our pick of the select females in the 2021 Lakeland College Round-Up Sale. She is the direct daughter of the infamous Laura 25T cow who has been a cornerstone donor cow in the college herd. The Brooking Sooner progeny have been popular in our operation with exceptional muscle pattern, moderate frame and calving ease built right in. These combined genetics work and are very evident in Laura 10M. The only reason we are parting with her, is that we have two daughters retained in the herd. Don’t miss this opportunity to get yourself a “Laura” and start a new cow family in your herd or juniors, take her on the show road!
Out of a first calver, 5M checks the boxes when selecting a replacement female. With a moderate BW of 72 lbs., this heifer has done nothing but grow all summer long. Her dam, 25K, is a typical SAV Sensation daughter with great length of spine, spring of rib and an awesome udder all in one easy fleshing package…all apparent traits in 5M. The paternal grand dam of 5M (VAP 28C), is still producing in our herd and once again, a Renovation daughter of hers, has made its way into our replacement pen. Her sire, SAV Early Arrival, is an elite curve bender that excels in calving ease, performance, milk and carcass merit. We have been very impressed with the calves we have so far and have another group coming next spring. 5M is truly a junior worthy show female…be sure to check out this “TipTop” opportunity!

Geis Georgina 29’24 comes from a cow family that has very deep roots here at Geis Angus Farm. Her mother Geis Georgina 19’21 is a very nice young cow who has a very solid correct udder and a deep heel with a solid square foot. Geis Georgina 29’24’s great grand-dam Young Dale Georgina 174D was our Donor Dam who was one of the main foundation cows in our herd. She raised one of our main herd sires as well as many females in our herd but this year she has 10 sons that are full brothers in our bull pen for sale next spring. Georgina 29’24’s sire HF Mastermind 98H who we have been using for the past couple of breeding seasons has raised us many performing good footed females and bulls in our herd. Geis Georgina 29’24 has bloodlines on the top and bottom of her pedigree that have not only been proven in our herd but are the foundational pillars of our program.

We have always been a fan of the Lady Ann cow family, her Dam being sired by Merit Kingsman and granddam being PED 326B, it was no surprise that this heifer was chosen for the sale. This Schiefelbein Showman daughter has been a standout in our heifer calves this year right from day 1 showing off her length of spine and body shape. We weren’t sure if we wanted to let her go, we were reminded that it is supposed to hurt when we sell them, and she definitely fits the bill in our eyes.
Avelyn Lady 31M
Here is a fancy made sweet looking daughter of the Brookdale Brutus 390. A sire we admired for adding shape and muscle pattern to many progeny we have seen born here at Avelyn as well as some other producers that we have visited in the past year. Brutus progeny sold very well in our last bull sale as well as Hamiliton Farms sale this past spring. This heifer has that maternal look that is fault free and catches your eye when you first see the group in the pasture and now in the corral. She is a straight topped beauty very clean in her lines. Her mother is a first calving Hollow Point daughter. Hollow Point continues to impress visitors and has become a leading herd sire here for his predictability and many traits that we love in our cow herd. She will be a great addition to anyones herd.
There are so many great things I could tell you about Avelyn Lady 31M. Like the fact that her great grandmother was purchased through this very sale nearly 20 years ago as a heifer calf. She went on to produce 15 natural progeny in her life. The next two generations in this pedigree alone have produced 12 more to date and are still going strong. Longevity is found in this line. This heifer is huge bodied full of shape, long spined with lots of bone density. The udders in this family line have always been very desirable for balance and teat size which has added to the ability to produce great offspring year after year. She has that kind of temperament that allows our 5 year old Raleigh to lead her around whenever we put a halter on her. RAML Potent 8427 was selected for his ruggedness and type. He added growth while not giving up style and attractiveness to this genetic value. To top it all off this young female comes with some fantastic EPD’s. She’s not only a great prospect for a Junior project. She has the power and punch to become an amazing foundation female.

A blast from the past! Let’s get things out of the way this heifer is sired by Everblack Masterplan 007. Where might some of you know who this bull is? Well, that’s because he was born in 1996! We purchased him in 1997 with Minburn angus where he was the high seller. The bull went on to sire many fantastic daughters. 10 of those daughters became elite dams, designating 007 an Elite Sire. 3M’s dam 27C has also been a great cow with a nice udder, solid feet and producing some top end calves with one sister selling last year in the Northern to Aiden McGrath from Dodsland,Sk. The Zara’s have been a corner stone family at Dwajo since our founding in 1982; being the go-to black angus cow family for m any years. The combo of the mating will make for a great producing female that anybody would like in their herd with a neat twist in pedigree. This heifer has all that plus a great attitude!

Jestress is a complete package with a fancy front, wide top, good bone and a great hip! On top of that she has some cool hair. A heifer that would have a great future in the show ring and the pasture. 18H has been a young cow that has been working hard already selling 2 top end bulls in our bull sale plus this year’s heifer calf selling in the Northern. Her sire Hostile we have been using with great excitement as he has been leaving us with thick calves with a nice foot, wide tops and good disposition. He has been very easily leaving us with some of the best complete replacements we have ever had with some solid bull calves too!

10M has been an exciting female from the start this year for us with her unique pedigree while being our first calf crop of the Ellingson Brickhouse calves. Blackbird is a long bodied, thick muscled heifer while being extremely attractive and correct through her front shoulders and neck. Her dam Blackbird 10J is one of our most correct in udder quality and teat size and has grown into a high performing mother cow. 10M is stacked on the maternal side with her grandam being flushed heavily in our ET program and raising a $17,500 heifer calf sold last year to Lucky 7 Cattle Co. & Al Gator Angus. Sire Ellingson Brickhouse was an easy AI choice for us based on foot quality and the maternal power package he adds into this female.

You might ask if Hostile is a baker? Because he leaves these heifers with some nice buns! Erica 62M is a very well put together. She has a small Angus head; a stylish neck that ties well into a wide topped body and round developed hip that carries down into her twist and flank. She is very complete in her entirety. Once again, these Hostile heifers are stamped with quality. Erica’s family lineage is no slouch either. Her dam, 141H’s 1st calf was a bull that sold to Movin On Farms (Dwajo Jes Kenobi 23K). She has also raised another heifer that is in the replacement pen. Her granddam 135Y was my show cow for many years winning myself many shows but also raising me some top end cattle in our herd. I currently retain 3 daughters out of her and sold one in the northern years ago. Her other 6 calves were bulls who all sold in our bull sale never missing a year. 1 bull was a high seller, and 5 others were top end sellers. Making 62M a great addition to any of the fine Black Angus enthusiasts who like a 2024 vintage.

When selecting females for the sale this summer, Mark picked 2 heifers sired by HF Mercenary 199K. Mercenary was the $50,000 high selling Showman son that I purchased at the Hamilton Farms 2023 bull sale. After seeing him alongside his 4 other flush brothers in the sale, as well as other progeny from their dam HF Evening Tinge 118Z, I knew he was something special. However, after I arrived home that night after spending $50,000 on a bull, my wife didn’t think I was all that special. But that’s a story for another time, and thankfully we’re still married. All jokes aside, Mercenary’s calves have been worth every dollar and 42M is a highlight. Her pedigree speaks for itself with breed altering genetics from Showman, Tiger, Evening Tinge, G-Man and Kodiak. Her dam is the widest topped cow on the farm with a near-perfect udder, the same that all of my G-Man granddaughters have. 42M is super long with a sweetheart disposition. She came off pasture with the best ADG of any heifer on the farm. She won’t be hard to find on sale day.

These 2 heifers on offer in the sale have very similar pedigrees. The difference between them is that 56M’s grandam, Ellen 7Y is an own daughter of SAV Pioneer 7301. Ellen 7Y is coming 14 years old and is ready for another year. She has always been one of my favorite cows as her calves never disappoint. 56M has an incredibly quiet disposition much like her sire. The Lady Heather cow family is one we think a lot of, and this heifer is proof of why we “love” them so much and have so many in our herd built around them. Last year at the Ladies of the West Bred Heifer Sale we sold a maternal sister to Dersta Farm Ltd.
Here is a sweet lil beauty! PLC Tip Top 559M a future cow in the making, she has style with a very clean front end. It’s been a few years since we have consigned to the Northern Select Sale, so we wanted to bring the top end. Two outstanding 3/4 sisters from outstanding cows here. They mirror their mothers; 1M is the more refined heifer while still maintaining great depth of body with good muscle shape, while 2M is the soggier, thicker heifer. We really missed the boat by not buying more of the Legacy daughters out of the Reid Dispersal - if the others produced like this, I am sure their new owners are thrilled. Both cows had solid production and fertility records in the Reid herd. and continued suit in our herd..

Every year there is that one calf that catches your eye right from the start that you find first in the pen when doing calf checks then on pasture and here she is! The first calf off a SAV Renovation 6822 daughter with more royal sires in her pedigree. We like our cow families to leave their mark and let’s just say Lady Mae doesn’t fall far from the tree. Sleek necked, ultra feminine, deep middled, easy keeping, perfectly uddered, good footed with performance and production is what this cow family is. Cattlemen mark your catalog for a great production female and juniors mark your catalog for your fancy show prospect that will do double duty and make you a fantastic cow no matter if you breed her Angus or cross her for that highly demanded F1. CARPS Lady Mae 443M will be at FarmFair. Find us stalled in with the Maine-Anjou this year; we’d love for you to see her in person and have a visit. Weight Sept 16 – 695 lbs.

Sprucefield Macie 16M is a maternal powerhouse. This long bodied deep made broody female will raise high dollar bulls and outstanding replacement females to go back into the herd in the future. She is sired by Brookdale Brutus, one of the top herd sires at Peak Dot Angus Ranch. He is known for adding muscle and thickness and is royally bred being a Baldridge Bronc son out of one of the most productive cows in the Baldridge Angus program, Baldridge Isabel 69Y. The best thing about this heifer is the cow family she comes from, the Evening Tinge line that came from Scotland in 1929. She became one of the top cow families in Canada as a fertile productive cow line that always out produces the last generation. Sprucefield Macie 16M had a September 29th weight of 920Lbs. She is entered at Farmfair for those wishing to come see her before the sale.

Our first Black female to sell and is she is a top end of female. It starts with the Pride Cow Family on the bottom side. Which has a direct connection to this very sale as her dam was one of the first Angus females we bought to start our Black herd. Then have a look at the top side. Sired by DEER VALLEY GROWTH FUND. One of the top herd sires in the Angus breed and you can see why. She is a well-balanced female and exactly the type we strive to produce. Deep bodied, great length of body and a hip that puts her over the top. Don’t overlook her feet which are exactly the type you want in a future cow. If you are a purebred breeder, I suggest you go sit at a commercial female sale and see what the buyers prefer. These two heifer calves exemplify this demand. Both are long spined, sound footed and like their first calf siblings will have very good udders. When you can latch onto a female with 1Y (Rocky) in it, his influence will be there for generation to come.

30M’s mother was part of package of 3 heifer calves we purchased from the top end at the final Canadian Legacy Sale. They have all kept the banker happy! Her sire 133H’s first heifer crop calved this spring, and they all have calves that are competing with our mature cows. There are a lot of Canadian bred herd sires that have not been given enough recognition and 98C was one of them, Z-Bar Angus can vouch for that.

Red MOF Lemay 58L is a model made female that we are striving for here at Movin On Farms. She is long and big bodied, but still able to keep her femininity and attractive front end. She stands on an extremely sound foot and if she is like her mom will have a super attractive udder. She is from our very strong Lemay family, that seems to get the job done every year. 58L’s dam catches the eye of everyone who stops in to look. Her sire was picked up from Shiloh Cattle Co. High Velocity 116H is a Racer son. His prodigy is turning into great females with his first wave of females raising their first calves this year and we are not disappointed.

These cows have been a very nice addition to our herd and 2035E has been one of the top producing cows from that group and we expect 267L to follow in these footsteps. Fortress is a bull that we followed right from Duralta’s sale onward, we tried to purchase him that day but came up short. As soon as we knew Pedersen’s and Cote’s were the lucky purchasers, we set out to get a semen package on Fortress and were glad that we did. The bull calves were in high demand last year in our bullpen and his females are looking to be a set of wide topped, deep bodied, easy keeping heifers, that we are very excited to get into production. The AI service to Lauron Block Buster is one that I can’t wait to see develop. We have admired Block Buster for a long time and wanted to use him on a large group of our heifers for his calving ease. The combination of Block Buster and Fortress is one that should really click.

The Star Queen (73W) cow family originated from Vikse’s that Cole purchased out of the stall at Farmfair as a heifer calf. She turned into a powerful show heifer that claimed many junior banners and then turned into a premier designated dam following in the footsteps of her Elite donor dam (44R). Study the pedigree of 297L and there is a long list of elite or donor dams in her pedigree like Larkeisa, Minerva, Bess, Beeline 17Z, Beeline 24B, Goldie, along with 73W and 44R. Duralta Fortress might be known best for his sire Six Mile Fifth Sense, but we had a look at his dam and can see that these bred heifers are following in her steps exactly. She’s a moderate framed, wide topped, big-ribbed cow with a gorgeous udder and produces year after year. She was the ultimate deciding factor for us when we chose to try and acquire Fortress as a yearling. Fortress himself was slapped Reserve Champion Red Angus Bull at Farmfair. 297L is also favourable to her AI mating to Lauron Block Buster, a son of Bieber Rollin Deep that left a lasting impression at Lauron with his sons in high demand at their sale. We are excited to expect a large group of Block Buster calves from our bred heifers this year.

Here is a unique bred heifer going back to the Aspen Pathefinder bull on the dam side as well as the Nexus bull. She has been bred to our new hire sire Red Prio Addiction 370L which can be seen at Olds and Farmfair this year. Everyone who has come to look at the cattle this summer has picked this bred heifer out as she stands out that much. This is one female you are not wanting to miss out on. Her dam is one of the best in the herd. She produced some top end bulls for us.
Red PLC Pride 719L is a female that made her way into the replacement pen very easily! Her Dam is a tremendous milker and a cow that gets noticed by many that come to walk through the herd. This female is super easy doing and as honest as they get. We are excited to see how she is going to go out and benefit someone else’s herd. We just sold a Paternal Sister at the Red Round-Up Sale for $9,000 to Lone Stone Farms. These Specialist females just seem to rise to the top.

Long bodied, dark cherry red, very attractive heifer that reminds us a lot of her maternal sister (RRF 155L) that sold to Airam Farms in this sale last year. Her 150G dam has been a herd bull producer with one to a commercial producer, a standout son to RSL Red Angus and 2 flush brothers for our 2025 sale The sire of 51M is an exciting calving ease sire we own with Sjogren Farms that sired an outstanding set of calves for us, including the 64M heifer calf also in this sale. Jill 51M is a very complete package with power, calving ease, eye appeal and maternal greatness in her background on both sides.

Feminine, long bodied, attractive and eye appealing daughter from a very good first calver. Her sire, Red Redrich Kentucky 59K, sired a great set of calves for us. See paternal sister 51M that is also in this sale. Dam of Kentucky, Maggie 59F, has been phenomenal in both her phenotype and production. She raised another herd bull we own with Adair Angus, Lockdown 59L, and this year has an outstanding Jaguar daughter that highlights our replacement heifer pen. They say when you know you know and when a mating clicks at our place, we try it again. Here is the result of round #3 of using RREDS Seneca 731C and we could not be more thrilled! Seneca has been our go to Red Angus bull in our AI program for the last three years and we cannot say enough good things about his calves! Superior calving ease and vigor, plus impressive birth to weaning performance. Rene 116M is a proud heifer who is long as a train, solid footed with an impressive coat of hair. The dam Rene 116D came to us from Ter-Ron Farms and has been a no fail, low maintenance, powerhouse of a cow. She’s big, wide, long, and broody…I guess land hippo might be the best way to describe ol’ Rene. A full sister to 116M is working in our herd and another was our high selling heifer in the Avelyn/Lucky 7 bull sale to Glen & Sherry Bullee this spring. The proof is in the pudding here. She is going to make a whale of a cow!

This heifer is the kind to push the scales down, typical of any Banknote calves. Alberta is a very quiet heifer with great hair and a deep body. Her sire’s dam has been a top donor cow at Dwajo being the dam behind many note worthy bulls that have sold over the years. Making her very maternally stacked with her own dam, a big deep dark red cow with an impressive presence. Her sire Jethro has been producing offspring with power thickness and great hair. But ultimately this heifer best attribute is her attitude as she has been the go-to for any inexperienced show help that has helped us.

15M is a very eye catching heifer out of a powerful cow that always sets the bar high and looks good while doing it. Red CS Marty 15M has already proven to be an easy keeper like her dam, Red Circle G
10M is as structurally well made as they come. Backed by longevity, this heifer’s granddam was still producing at 13 years of age for Six Mile Angus. Her sire Red Six Mile Jasper 281J is bull we admire for his size and docility. He is deep dark cherry red and passes this onto his offspring. We have retained a sister in the herd. The dam of this female is one of my initial Red Angus purchases who did a great job in her prime including a bull called Skoal who some of you may have heard me talk about once in awhile. Alberta also being sired by Wildcard will have some extra growth, dark red in color and overall length of body and neck extension.
