SUSTAINABILITY definition
the idea that humans must interact with the environment in a way that ensures there will be enough social, environment & economic resources left for future generations.
OUR MISSION: To have a greener future and help the less fortunate by having a portable kiosk which provides -
a paper recycling bin fun activities & insight about sustainability opportunity for the kids to make money
that goes around orphanages in Malaysia during the weekends & public holidays.
THE IDEA: The kids would go thru a brief obstacle course with a partner collecting materials whilst learning about a few sustainable goals that -
Promotes friendship & teamwork Are fun & interesting way to learn Stimulates the brain before heading to the crafting area then leads to an open space which allows them to communicate with each other & have fun making their crafts.
CREATIVITY definition
the ability to generate ideas or possibilities that maybe useful in solving problems and others. -
The children would be able to create their own crafts from paper clay made from recycled paper. -
toys are scarce ro orphanage kids so this activity would benefit them and mother nature
IN SHAPE definition
process of keeping someone/something sound & healthy. -
Paper recycling station that encourages the public to recycle as people who do are eligible to collect coupons with huge benefits from partnered stores

INCOME definition
A monetary gain that usually comes from business, labour or property. -
Artwork done by the orphanage kids will be featured proudly on the display shelves for the public to admire and purchase (100% of profit goes to the maker)

PRECEDENT STUDIES
MATERIALS: Most of the kiosk is constructed from recycled timber wood as it is a eco-friendly material that won’t break the bank due to its easy accessibility in Malaysia. *The exterior would be polished for protection against weather.
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
MOCK UP MECHANISM The kiosk uses folding mechanisms to open its sides, one side having a single foldable door while the other has two closed^ ^opened

Other materials consist of glass and recycled steel will be used for the mechanisms. *The exterior would be polished for protection against weather.

FINAL CHOICE: ECOTOWN = ECO + TOWN
DESIGN STATEMENT ECOTOWN AIMS TO MAKE EARTH A BETTER PLACE BY MAKING BETTER USE OF RECYCLABLE WASTE. IT IS AN AREA WHERE PEOPLE COULD PUT THEIR BRILLIANT IDEAS INTO ARTS AND CRAFT USING RECYCLED MATERIALS. GLOBAL WARMING IS NO DOUBT A SERIOUS THREAT TO MOTHER EARTH, AND WE ARE GUILTY OF CONTRIBUTING TO THE ISSUE. THEREFORE, ECOTOWN WAS ESTABLISHED HOPEFULLY INCREASING PUBLIC AWARENESS ON SUCH ISSUE. WE HAVE A SOLAR POWERED MECHANISM WHICH TRANSPORTS RECYCLED GOODS DISPOSED BY THE PUBLIC AT OUR RECYCLING STATION TO OUR CRAFTING AREA. THE PUBLIC COULD THEN COME TO OUR CRAFTING AREA AND PRODUCE THEIR OWN UNIQUE ARTS AND CRAFT USING RECYCLED WASTE. ANY AGES ARE WELCOMED AS WE HAVE A DESIGNATED ADULT CRAFTING AREA AS WELL AS A KID’S CRAFTING AREA. WE ALSO HAVE A WITH A SEASIDE VIEW FOR YOU TO ENJOY YOUR COFFEE IF YOU WISH TO.

OUR CHOICE OF MATERIALS ARE ONLY RECYCLED MATERIALS TO FURTHER SUPPORT OUR GOAL OF ACHIEVING SUSTAINABILITY.
