Client Information Henry and Jessica, married couple in their mid 30’s Henry attended The University of Southern Mississippi and now is a professional baseball player who secured a spot playing for the Cubs Jessica is a Mississippi native and spends her time collecting art and regional framework This couple is seeking design counsel for a townhouse they wish to be a weekend or occasional home Has a Cuban background and would like some Cuban inspiration integrated into the design
Concept Statement This townhouse located in Midtown is perfectly located and an ideal space for my young clients looking for a vacation home. To meet the needs of my clients taste, I will design a modern space with subtle Cuban influences throughout the house. I will incorporate neutral colors with contrasts of darker tones and pops of mixed metal accents. My first main focus will be balance by paying attention to colors, textures, symmetry, and placement. My second will be contrast by including pop outs in the design to grab the eye’s attention and create more depth and improve the design’s readability. The third main focus of mine will be movement. I want to avoid a static design and with the help of shapes, lines, color and more I will achieve this.
