Lake Li is now faced with challenges such as ecological degradation and water pollution, the separation of the city and the landscape, different scenic spots, etc. The waterline is proposed based on the geographical features connecting the seperated tourism sites and strengthening the landscape features of the 4 edges of the lake "Cloud Mountain, Water Path, Tower Hill and Wild Field". In the Water Path, six inward main scenic spots, six outward viewing platforms are mainly built to create the pace of the landscape.

Long but bumpy history left a fragmented urban context, including unreadable culture memory, fragile ecology and chaotic urban space. Our proposal aims to find a new oritenal planning way based on the Chinese traditional wisdom Fengshui and Kanyu to relink the urban fragment and polish the blurred urban landmark.

Species Paradise Chengdu, China Fall 2022 Phase: Competition Office Partner: Michel Hoessler Team Leader: Huadong Zhu Other team member: Menghan Fu, Daoyang Han, Peng Ding Partner: Meidao, Tonzako Design, MCM The design is rooted in the geographic conditions of the site, protecting the most suitable belt for ecological corridor crossing and building a wildlife park in symbiosis with nature. The second emphasis is on transforming the zoo from a gene pool for species preservation to a training ground for awakening animal instincts. It also activates the potential of ecological economy to build a model park that is ecologically and economically sustainable.

Chengdu, China Fall 2020 Phase: Competition Team Leader: Mengdi Lu Other team member: Li Qian, Cai Huang Chengdu is a city of life. Because of the city expansion, original countryside is turing into the new city center. Our proposal for the central wetland park is a green heart in the center and a series of living islands on the surrouding. The human action inside the main ecology area is limited by the loop path for ensuring the succession of the natural system. A bigger loop linking the living island create a diversified chengdu style urban green space for the surrounding community and business district.

Inundation

The New Dutch Waterline (NDW) was built to defend Holland. It comprised of a system of waterworks for inundation and military elements for troops. The NDW is facing huge challenges as urbanization. This study will focus on the part around Utrecht of the New Dutch Waterline, one which is in urban fringe and urbanizing. The main research question is whether it is possible to transform the language (spatial elements and inundation image, the composition grammar and spatial features) of the NDW into a functional and narrative framework of urbanization, to realize legible heritage and water-sensitive urbanism. Windmill

Specifically, this proposal is aimed to provide an urbanization strategy in this special area, which can make the visible and invisible heritage legible (represent the defense line by inundation and reactive inaccessible heritage) and solve the urban problems (de-fragment and resilient water management). In this case, landscape plays the role as language and machine at the same time.

Action I Narrative infrastructure and functional heritage

Action I Heritage Structure as Territory Park System It aims to make use of the NDW structure to build a territory park system to frame the fragmented heritage and create a resilient urban water system.Territory park system comprise three parts, green space around the heritage elements, water parks for resilient city and energy parks. New park system makes the fragmented heritage into a spatial entity which can be experienced. Water parks and energy parks not only provide the water management service and energy supply, but also represent the inundation image in a new way.

In the transition nodes, the experience from the different environments and heritage are stressed at the same time. Shanghai, China Spring, 2014 Academic Individual Project Survey Partner: Lu Jie Design Date: 3/2016 - 7/2016 Supervisor: Lin Yifeng, yflintgu@gmail. com The site is located in the fashion center of Shanghai, Xintiandi where diversified events are held there. A multifunctional square is needed for such various events. The movable structures on the tracks is proposed for the possibilities of the different functions. Variable compositions allow the plaza to transfrom from a boulevard to a weekend market, from a square to film festival field.

Site The site is surrounded by the business district, tourist attractions and residential areas. As the fashion center of China and the downtown area of Shanghai, diversified groups enable activities diversified. It includes sports, leisure, market and a variety of big events. Therefore, changeable structure are created to meet the diversified needs of this space.

The wall guide the direction of the airflow and influence the solar radiation. The difference of humidity is shaped and plants shows this difference.

The shelter shapes the direction of airflow and the solar radiation. Plants are good indicator for the difference of microcliamte, which can be perceived by human

Maastricht, Netherland Fall 2017 Academic Individual Project Supervisor: Joost Emmerik, joost@ joostemmerik.nl The thing surprises me on the site is the huge change of the quarry. Especially during the recent ten years, due to the human force and natural force, the quarry changed a lot. The logic behind the change is studied: the relationship among force, landform, vegetation and microclimate. This rule is applied in the design as the main concept. The relationship these element and the sense of human is studied. For the quarry, as an educational park, this process shows the public how nature changes with time. some little intervention in the nature would be designed to show the public the nature process, like the bridge, forest with different growing speed and wall.

Holwerd is on the only way to the famous holiday area, Ameland, Netherland. However, no one stop in the small village. At the same time, the village face a huge amount of problems. For the ecology, the coastal village face the risk of sea shland level rise. The important intertide area, mudflat may disappear because of this. At the same time, because of the construction of dike, the connection of the sweet water area and the sal water area is broken. Therefore, the gradient of ecosystem is affected because of ckish Water Wetland this. Moreover, because of dredging ror shipping, lots of money is spent on dredging. What’s worse, the turbidity is produced by dredging and sediment on the water would influence the growth of seagrass, which is the base of the whole ecosystem. Apart from this, new program should be introduced to interest the transient visitors and memory about tide, nature and mudflat hiking should be revived to keep the local and also other visitors.
