A Letter from your Officers

Hey Key Clubbers! DCON was this past weekend soooo it’s your new President! If you weren’t aware, my name is Lexie Lam and I was your former Key Club treasurer. Going back to talking about DCON, having it in Portland was pretty lit. Seeing people all around the PNW that all enjoyed serving the community in the same room made me smile. DCON brought good vibes. Although the retiring of the old board caused some tears to be shed, they will always be in our hearts. Thank you seniors for making our club active and helping us underclassmen grow better characters and show us what Key Club really means. Also, shoutout to the previous board for setting the new board up on good grounds. It’s just the beginning of the new term and I’m still getting use to the title of being called madam prez. I want to be someone that you guys can approach and not be scared to ask questions. I am excited to what this new term will bring and how things will work out. Thank you so much for everything! I hope to be your good lek charm. In Love and Service, Lexie Lam

Hello hello Key Clubbers! Welcome to my very first newsletter! Wow, just saying that makes me sound much like a officer than a member, but I think I’ll eventually get used to it. For those who don’t know already, my name is Kayla Calso and I have the honor of being your 20172018 bulletin editor! If you guys may or may not have noticed, I decided to keep the name of my newsletter as “Royal Report” to keep the memory of our past officers. That, and I wanted to keep the message that my outtie, Marlon, wanted to keep in his newsletters, who ever reads them, will smile. So as you read through my spring-themed newsletter, I hope a smile comes to your face as one did when I was making this newsletter! In love and service, Kayla Calso

What made you want to become an officer?: I love serving the community and beyond and have such an amazing key club story that I wanted others, mostly freshmen and new members to have their own key club story as well and fall in love with Key Club as well. I wanted to become an officer because of one of the grand outies Kimberly Ly. She was the one who inspired me to become an officer and help out our club. Favorite Food: Don't have a favorite but I love Potstickers and Bubble Tea Favorite Color: Red Ultimate Bias of any group: Chanyeol from EXO Favorite Event: Either Dance To Cure or Skate To Cure What made you want to become an officer?: What made me want to become an officer was the love, passion, and energy I had for Key Club. I wanted to put those traits to 3 better use so I ran for PR.

Month in Review Hello Key Clubbers! This is a review of what occurred in the exciting month of March! March started off great with Concert To Cure and then the Hot Chocolate Run on the next day. This month had other volunteering opportunities like Kent Kids Art Day and the KM Track Invite. We also got ourselves ready for DCON with the Lock-in and Pre-con! Lastly, the magnificent month of March ended with DCON!! I had a really good first experience and I hope the other first timers did too! KM won 2 awards with the hard work that was put in! And with DCON, the new service year begins, with new officers, LTGs, and the new district board! Be sure to stay updated on the Facebook page and website to stay updated! - Elijah Suarez

By Aaron Chamroeun Hey Key Clubbers! It’s been a week since DCON, any of you still suffering from PDS? The 68th annual PNW District Convention was held in Portland, Oregon and had over 2,000 attendees, I hope you all had an amazing experience! We made it to the Convention Center and had time to eat lunch and meet new Key Clubbers from all over the PNW District! During opening session we had guest speaker Aidan Chin, keynote speaker Tom Krieglstein, and featured entertainer Chris James. We then went on to the best event throughout DCON ever, Caucusing! Saturday came by followed by a mega workshop and 4 workshops sessions right after. We were able to get dressed, eat, and get back to closing session, all you guys looked stunning! Closing session was held and awards were given out,,
