clubbers!

Kent-Meridian Key Club has been experiencing a lot of success during the month of September. Serving the community one concession stand at a time, I would like to thank everyone who has been volunteering for football concessions since it is how we get to make a lot of money to send as many of our clubbers to DCON 2019. Also, if you’ve worked concessions and wondered, “Where does the money from the tips go to?” we are donating all of our tip money to the Thirst Project! If you guys do not know what the thirst project is, Key Club International is partnered up with the Thirst Project to raise money to build easy to access wells in places around the world where people have little to no access of water. It is our goal to raise as much money to build these wells in Swaziland, and we need your help to bring water into their community. I also want to talk about a leadership conference called AWSL! This year, Kent-Meridian is hosting AWSL so that means that THOUSANDS of leadership students around Washington will be coming to our school for one big leadership convention. But leadership needs YOUR help in hosting families, if you are interested in building relationships with people around our state then this is the job for you! But if you aren’t able to become a host family, then that’s ok! We have another job for you, if you sign up to be part of work crew, then we will count for your hours towards DCON. Finding host families is very critical, we currently only have enough hosts to house 39 students, we need to be able to host 800 people to even have AWSL at our school! If we do not find enough host families, then AWSL will not happen. Thank you for reading my TED talk. In love Danielle Dumlao
