Editor’s Note Hello key-uites! How’s your summer going so far? I’ve doing so much sleeping in and laying around that it’s kind of concerning how relaxed I am. Knowing you all, you’ve probably been doing the same thing, so take some time and go through my newsletter to get some motivation and start looking a key club events! I know we don’t have much this month, but we do have Seattle Rally and future fundraisers to look forward to (hint hint) Remember, even though events are not that frequent during this month, hours still count towards next years DCON!! Presidents Letter Hello hello KEYuties! Do you guys remember DCON? Well, ICON was this past week! It is very similar to DCON but at an International scale! DCON is just the PNW and if you think that DCON was big then think about having everyone meet up in one place! This year it took place in San Antonio, Texas from July 5th - 9th. There was live streams and updates all around social media about ICON. You don’t need to be an officer or LtG to go to ICON. Members can attend as well! If you are interested then there will more information later but it’s next year so don’t worry about it right now. Anyways, how’s your summer so far? I hope that you guys aren’t sulking in bed because of not having the weekly Key Club meetings but don’t worry because we will have our club bondings, rallies and fundraisers coming your way! (well actually you guys need to come thru LOL) There will be a lot of Key Club events within the summer and don’t be afraid to join other clubs or even divisions! Member of the Month Why did you join key club? I joined key club because Kim Ha kept badgering me about joining key club freshman year and honestly it was a great decision to join key club. Like without Key Club I wouldn't have made some of my best friends from other schools. ILY KIM THANK YOU!!
What's your favorite Key Club event? Well aside from DCON and joint DCMs, I say it gotta be Relay for Life because it's basically just a big giant sleepover with all your friends that raises money for cancer, it's a win-win situation KMKC knows how to get lit
Will you be able to attending 2017 Seattle Rally? No, unfortunately I will not be attending Seattle Rally because I will be at a volleyball tournament in white river coincidentally for the 2nd year in a row but I hope you guys enjoy it and have lots of fun!
What’s your favorite throwback cartoon/show? I don't even know where to begin with throwback shows or cartoons because I just love them all but especially The Grimm Adventures of Billy and Mandy.

Month in Review: June 2017 6
Hey Key Clubbers! The school year is finally over and the sun is out! Here's a review for the month of June! June started off with Key Clubbers cooking or baking food for Staff Appreciation and/or participating in Relay For Life. During Relay For Life, Key Clubbers from KentMeridian and other clubs in the Kent School District stayed overnight at French Field running laps or hanging out while raising money or awareness for cancer. Another important event we had this month was our last meeting
of the school year, which included the installation of the new board and the chance to pie a senior! A few days following that, our seniors graduated and they were finally able to wear their stoles! Later on in the month, we had the June DCM @ Hazen, and KM won 2 awards that night! That's all for the month of June! Enjoy the rest of your summer and be sure to stay Key-nected! News and Upcoming Seattle Area Rally 2017! Sun, Sand, and Service When: Saturday, July 22nd, 2017 Time: 9am – 3pm Where: Bellevue High School Hey Key Clubbers! I hope you’re all having an amazing summer break so far! Not only is it summer break, but something very important is coming up, and that’s rally season! Rallies are like a mini DCON that lasts for a day with workshops, icebreakers, food, and talent show, they also give out the spirit stick to the most spirited Division! This year, Seattle Area Rally will be held on July 22nd at Bellevue High School, Portland Area Rally on August 5th at First United Methodist Church, Tacoma Area Rally on August 7th at Lakes High School, and much more! Be sure to stay updated with these rallies on the event pages on Facebook! You can sign in for early bird so you don’t have to pay as much and maybe even bring a friend that's not already in Key Club! Hope to see you there, until then, stay toasty Key Clubbers! Events #mortylovessummer PNW has officially kicked off our summer campaign #mortylovessummer. This campaign is meant to encourage service throughout the summer as well as attendance at club and divisional events. Share your summer adventures at any summer DCM, Rally, fundraiser, event, or anywhere with the PNW for a chance not only to be featured on the PNW’s official account, but also win some free vintage merchandise! This campaign runs until August 13 so go and take some awesome service pictures!
