“ Some of the girls I coach in crew go on to row competitively in college. For others it will be their only experience in the sport. Being a part of such a strong team builds character.” Garrison Smith B.A. Yale University M.A. University of Arizona Science, Head Coach, Girls Crew, Assistant Coach, Boys Varsity Ice Hockey

Teachers at Kent guide their students in the classroom and on the playing fields, where they serve as coaches. Seasoned athletes themselves, they value getting to know you through the camaraderie of building a team. Working closely with your coaches and classmates makes involvement in athletics one of the experiences you will treasure at Kent. Our graduates, shaped by a competitive program and strong coaching, have gone on to play Division 1 sports in college, compete in the Olympics, and play professionally.
“ When my players walk onto the field I want them to be confident they have worked hard and are ready for what lies ahead. I want them to have that same feeling when they walk across the stage at graduation.” Randall Hobbs B.S.
