and learn with classmates and teachers from around

the world and across the United States. Students become more than friends; they become family. Your horizons will be expanded by meeting people you might never encounter in your home town. The connections you make at Kent will have a lasting impact on your life and career, and will be the start of enduring friendships.

roles will be another significant part of the boarding school experience at Kent. Through community service projects you will join with your classmates to make a difference, perhaps by building a house with Habitat for Humanity or taking a summer mission trip to Ecuador or Peru. With our Episcopal roots, spiritual life is important, too. Twice weekly chapel services celebrate our community life and welcome people of all faiths. On the weekend, help organize a dance or join activities with groups that range from the Environmental Club to the Math Team.

“ We’ve lived together for four years and that only works if there’s good communication. We know that Kent is giving us the opportunity to leave our mark here. We’ve learned how to become independent thinkers; we’ve figured out who we are. Kent is special like that.” Max ’13 The Bronx, NY Syracuse University Verger, Crew, Community Service, Squash

Kent is located in the center of a small, New England town 90 miles north of New York City. You can walk from campus to shops and restaurants in the town of Kent. You can also join a school trip to New York City to take in a play or tour a museum. Come discover our beautiful campus located between the Housatonic River and the Appalachian Trail, and a community of peers and teachers who will open your eyes to the world.

“ Living and working at Kent, I see my students all over campus. I chat with them in the dining hall, cheer them on at sports events, bring my young children to watch them on stage. I get to know them in so many ways, as whole people. Athenaide Dallett, Ph.D. B.A. Harvard College M.A. Harvard University Ph.D. Harvard University English, Faculty Advisor
