My fellow officers and I have very exciting events planned for you guys, especially this summer, ranging from a pool party fundraiser, to club hangouts at Wild Waves, and of course community service! One of my main goals is for us to complete 1,500 hours of community service before my term ends, so expect lots of community service opportunities in the next year. I’m thrilled to be able to serve you guys and get to know you all more so hmu on my social media or call me (beep me if you wanna reach me) to talk! In love and service,

Arielle Descargar

A Message From Your Vice President

Hey Key Clubbers, how do you feel? My name is Sumaya Addish and I am Kentlake’s 2018-2019 Vice President. I am extremely excited for this term and to be working alongside all of you. For this term, I have three specific goals I want to accomplish; first, I want to establish more committees in our club, that way even club members can be put into a position of leadership. Second, I want to increase the attendance rate at community service events. Key club is all about service and I want to make sure that that aspect of key club is never forgotten. Lastly, my third goal is to create an improved bond between the club members and myself. I want to get to know each and every one of you so that I can accommodate to your needs and make your key club experience the best it can be. In love and service,

Sumaya Addish

A Message From Your Secretary Hi Key Clubbers! My name is Anthony Le and I am honored and proud to serve as your 2018-2019 Kentlake Key Club Secretary. WOOOOO! My goal for this year is to keep a great connection with all y’all in the club to make sure your hours and attendance will always be recorded. Another goal I have is to attend as many community service events possible, because that is the main reason why I chose to join Key Club since helping others is a great thing to do because who would not like helping people and putting a smile on their face? I am always available to talk to and to meet you more so make sure you contact me on the social media. Hope to see you more in the future and potentially at DCON! In love and service,

Anthony Le

A Message From Your Treasurer Hey Key Clubbers! I’m Anna Nguyen and I’m your 2018-2019 treasurer! Key Club has played a big role in my life, and I hope it does the same for you. This year, I want to increase the amount of members in our club, as well as membership participation in service and social events. I’m also going to work with the other officers to improve our club’s unity and connection with the rest of Division 32. I have lots of new ideas for my role as treasurer, and I’m excited to see what Kentlake’s officer board will accomplish in this upcoming term! In toast and service,

Anna Nguyen

A Message From Your Editor

Hey Key Clubbers! How do you feel? I’m personally feeling super hyped about this new service year and my new position as your Bulletin Editor. As Kentlake Key Club’s editor, it’s my responsibility to create the newsletter (this thing you’re checking out right now aye), and to provide you guys with information about the goings on in our club, including upcoming events and important dates. I hope to provide you all with this information through detailed social media posts and newsletters. One of my major goals for my term is to increase member involvement in our newsletter, as I want it to feel more like a collaborative creation than something I just make out of necessity. I’m going to try including member submissions at the end of these newsletters, where you guys can enter photos, pieces of art, poems, or other forms of media that reflects your passion for Key Club and community service. Hopefully it works out! In love and service,

Alicia Ballesteros-Mitchell

Kentlake Key Club 2017-18 Recap

The 2017-2018 term for Kentlake’s Key Club was absolutely incredible! We raised lots money for KCCP and for UNICEF, and contributed many service hours to our community. Although we didn’t reach a few of our goals last service year, I have complete faith that our club will reach all of our new goals this upcoming one. Here’s to another, and perhaps even more, productive year!

DCON 2018 Recap “I didn’t realize how much of an impact Key Club had on my life until DCON. It was amazing to be surrounded by so many caring, hard-working individuals, and that we were all together to celebrate one thing: our passion for serving. Key Club has made such a big difference in our lives and that, in turn, encourages us to make a difference in the lives of others.” --Anna Nguyen, First time attendee

What Key Club Means to Me By Hazel Makol When I first joined Key Club this past September, all I knew was that it was a community service club. Now in April, I see how it means so much more to me. I never joined key club because it would help me get those service hours I needed to graduate- I did it because I wanted to contribute to the great big world and do some good. I have done many different community service events throughout the year and each one leaves me with a heart filled with nothing but pure joy. Discovering all the different organizations is such a nice feeling, as I reference organizations such as UNICEF in my speeches in English. Making it Continues on next page

to DCON was a whole different feeling that I don’t think I could describe in words. Still going through post DCON depression, I am so glad I can say DCON has made me closer to my friends than ever. Key club gives me one of the greatest feelings in the world and after months of becoming a part of the key club family, I can truly say how it much it means to me. We got spirit yes we do, we got spirit how bout’ you?!!!!!!!!! Go d32 dragons! đ&#x;˜Šđ&#x;˜Šâ€˘
