VENUE HIRE ~ £4,250
We have provided an illustration of prices to help you budget for your wedding. Please remember this is merely a guide and prices will vary on your personal requirements. Included in the venue hire: Marquee We give you exclusive use of the marquee and grounds for your wedding. Our fully lined marquee can hold up to 150 guests for the wedding breakfast and up to 200 for an evening celebration. The marquee is fully fitted with doors, carpet flooring, lighting and dance floor. Round tables and chairs are provided. We offer luxury WC facilities in close proximity to the marquee. We give you as much time as you need during the week before your wedding to set up. Gardens, grounds & facilities We invite you to explore and enjoy our beautiful formal and rose gardens. Our large car park has ample space for your wedding guests. Venue Co-ordination Emily our Event Manager on hand on the day to ensure your wedding runs smoothly so you can enjoy every single moment. Honeymoon Yurt The luxurious Moroccan styled honeymoon yurt features a king size bed, 100% cotton sheets, log burning stove and private adjacent shower-room. The little details… A stunning 18ft Cedar Table in the woodland to seat 20 guests. Lots of fairy lights in the woodland. You may choose to provide napkins and boxes to take any leftover cake home in. Evening Cheese Board We offer a delightfully presented cheese board for your evening food. Choose a local, British or continental range of cheeses served with a selection of biscuits including oatcakes and water biscuits along with grapes, and chutneys. Plates and cheese knives are included along with presenting, serving and clearing the board. Bring Your Own Option - £7.50 per person We give you the option to ‘Bring Your Own’ welcome drinks and dining wine. This option is valid from the time your guests arrive until the meal finishes. Our service charge includes: Glassware – One champagne flute, one wine glass and one water tumbler per person. There will be an extra charge for additional/alternative glassware. Service – We will serve your welcome drinks to your guests and place wine bottles on each table. Wine coolers can be arranged for an additional cost £3.50 per cooler. You will also be asked to remove your bottles from the venue after your wedding. YOUR BOOKING GUIDE Below is a step-by-step guide to booking your wedding at Kenton Hall Estate 1. RATES & BOOKING Venue Deposit The date of your wedding will be held provisionally until your booking form has been received and deposit payment has been made. On booking we require a £950 deposit to secure your booking. You will receive an e-mail to confirm your booking has been made. Venue Balance 50% of the balance is due 6 months prior to your wedding. The final balance is due 2 months prior to your wedding. In addition to the final payment, a security deposit of £500 will need to be paid. The security deposit will be refunded within 5 working days, after your wedding. If damage is found, the venue will notify the client of the amount due for damages. VAT is not applicable. We are also happy to accommodate monthly instalment payments. 2. CATERING AND BAR SERVICES We believe that great food and drink, friendly service and attention to detail are the key to a successful event. Once you have booked Kenton Hall Estate for your wedding we can guide you through our caterers to find the best caterer for you. You can choose evening food or additional suppliers as you wish such as an ice-cream van or pizza oven. Kenton Hall Estate can provide gourmet Longhorn burgers for evening food. 3. ACCOMMODATION AT KENTON HALL ESTATE The Glamping site can hold up to 20 guests to stay the night after your wedding. After the party, sit around the campfire and then enjoy a breakfast together on our huge Cedar wood table. The site has two luxury shower-rooms and three ‘outdoor’ showers. We provide everything you need for a luxury night glamping, the site has kitchen and shower facilities. Our lodge tents are furnished with airbeds and bedding for all guests staying, lighting, bunting and vintage furnishings. Towels and toiletries can be provided at an extra cost. Rental details should be agreed on booking the venue. 4. BOOKING YOUR CHURCH WEDDING If you are planning a church wedding, don’t forget to confirm the date with the vicar during your provisional booking period. 5. 7. TERMS AND CONDITIONS Please read our Terms and Conditions thoroughly before booking the venue. When signing the booking form you will be agreeing to our terms and conditions. This will form a legal contract.
YOUR GUIDE TO KENTON HALL ESTATE Decorating and Setting up You will have access to the venue during the day before your wedding, from 9.00am until 6.00pm, to decorate and set up. Additional set up times during the week before your wedding can be arranged. Décor plans need to be approved by us in advance, please give plenty of notice for your ideas! On the day of your wedding, your florist and other contractors will have access from 9.00am onwards to begin setting up for your wedding. Confetti You are, of course, welcome to use confetti. We ask that it is biodegradable, ideally dried flower petals. It would be great if you could notify your guests of this. Health and Safety We have comprehensive public liability insurance and health and safety policy. Confetti guns, bubble machines and smoke machines are not permitted for health and safety reasons. To comply with insurance regulations and the law, there is a strict no smoking policy anywhere inside the venue. Candles are permitted provided that location/amount is discussed with us in advance. We encourage the use of electrical LED tea lights inside the marquee and these do look fantastic. Moat There is an unfenced moat surrounding the grounds of the venue. To ensure the enjoyment and safety of all your guests on your special day please make your guests aware that all children must be closely supervised at all times. Access into the water or close to the water’s edge is not permitted. A life ring is provided for use in an emergency – please familiarise yourself with its location. Children As the venue is set on a working farm with a moat surrounding the marquee we ask you to employ a professional crèche company if you there are more than twelve children of walking age (over 18 months) in attendance.
Fireworks and Lanterns We are situated in a beautiful, rural area, which is hopefully why you would choose Kenton Hall Estate. As Kenton Hall is a grade II listed house and the venue is located on a working farm with livestock, unfortunately we are unable to allow wish lanterns or fireworks.
Finishing Times The bar accepts last orders at 11.15pm, closing at 11.30pm. We understand that it will take 20-30 minutes for guests to say their goodbyes, finish drinks and await transport. Guests who are not staying overnight should have left the premises by 12.00am. Taxi’s must be booked in advance – it’s a good idea to enclose taxi numbers with your invitation. Parking There is plenty of space for your guests to park at Kenton Hall Estate; there is a large on site car park. Guests are not permitted to leave cars on site overnight unless they are staying on premises. Wedding Gifts We suggest the appointment of one or two members of your wedding party to be responsible for presents and valuables, as we cannot accept responsibility for any of these precious items. Useful Information Kenton Hall Estate is located near the historic pretty village of Debenham, in Suffolk. The closest town is Framlingham, approximately 8 miles away. Stowmarket and Ipswich are around 15 miles away; both these towns have train stations. The journey from London is approximately two hours by car. By train, the quickest and easiest journey is from London Liverpool Street to Stowmarket, which is 20 minutes’ drive from Kenton. The journey time from London is approximately 1hr 30 minutes. What is the maximum capacity for your venue? Our venue can cater for 150 guests for a seated wedding breakfast and 200 guests for an evening reception. Can you host legal ceremonies? Currently, we cannot hold legal civil ceremonies; however we can host wedding celebration blessings. How many weddings will be booked on our day/over our weekend? We only ever hold one event per weekend. This means you have exclusive access to the venue. Do you have a wedding co-ordinator? Will they be there on my wedding day? Yes, our Wedding co-ordinator is Emily; she will be on hand during the planning and for the duration of your wedding day. Does the venue have heating? Yes, we have marquee heaters to ensure the venue is kept at a comfortable temperature for the duration of your day. Are there restrictions for the photographer? We allow the same access to your photographer as we do for you and your guests. However, with prior arrangement we are happy to discuss any other locations on the estate for the photographers to use. Can you recommend local accommodation for our guests? We provide marvellous on site Glamping accommodation. We are also lucky to have great local accommodation in the form of B&B’s, hotels and self-catering, details of which can be seen below.
