Flowers for Veterans*

COVINGTON: MON., NOV. 1 & 11 • 6-8 PM Help the library celebrate all who have served in our Armed Forces by creating beautiful flower arrangements for our Veterans on Monday, November 1 from 6-8. Flower arrangements will be donated to the Linden Grove Cemetery. Also, Veterans (or family members) may pick up flower arrangements (while supplies last) at the Covington branch on Thurs., Nov. 11. Registration required for the November 1 program.

Dino Dig!

Memorial Wreath Passive Event

COVINGTON: MON., NOV. 8 - FRI., NOV. 12 All week in the lobby we will have a poppy wreath to commemorate Remembrance Day. Patrons are welcome to contribute to the completion of the wreath and leave messages on their poppy.

Orienteering 101: How to Use a Map and Compass*

COVINGTON: WED., NOV. 10 • 7-8 PM Orienteering is a sport where competitors use a map and a compass to find a series of checkpoints. There is no marked path, so participants must choose their own routes from one place to the next. Join us to learn the basics of how to use a map, a compass, and how to navigate.

Honey Hill Farm Petting Zoo

FAMILY OR ALL AGES ERLANGER: SAT., NOV. 13 • NOON-1 PM Celebrate fall by visiting with the animals from Honey Hill Farm! Children are allowed to pet and feed the animals from the farm. See ducks, goats, chickens, and more. This event will be outdoors.

Holiday Heirloom Recipe Towels

COVINGTON: SAT., NOV. 13 • 2-3:30 PM Learn how to use Covington’s Maker Space to turn a treasured family recipe into a holiday gift kitchen towel. If you uncover any heirloom family recipes during Thanksgiving, this is your chance to learn to make them into holiday presents.

All About Owls! with Raptor, Inc.

COVINGTON: SAT., NOV. 20 • 3-4 PM Get up close and personal with owls native to our area! Learn about these mighty birds’ diets, habitats, nesting habits and their role in the food web, as well as other fun facts. Artifacts pertaining to owls will be available for hands-on investigation and raptor vocalizations will be played. This program will feature a visit from three live owl ambassadors!

Friends of KCPL Used Book Sale

ERLANGER: SUN., NOV. 28 - SAT., DEC. 4 Nearly-new and used books, music and movies will be sold with prices ranging from 25 cents to $4. Proceeds from the sale will go towards programs and services that support the library. Sale closes 30 minutes prior to library closing.
