KENTS HILL SCHOOL
INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE
Our community is constantly learning about and celebrating the cultures that exist amongst the student body. I appreciate the effort that community members put in to make international students feel at home.
Kents Hill School is a place where I am encouraged to explore my passions. It is a place where I can be myself and will be accepted. It is the door that has opened my life to a limitless flow of opportunities.
I know that I belong at Kents Hill School because of the warm, inclusive, and diverse community that I get to be a part of. This experience has broadened my perspective by connecting me with people from all over the world.”
HOW WE SUPPORT
In addition to the authentic American experience provided through education and student life at Kents Hill School, we offer support in many areas for our International students. We provide assistance with Visas, I-20s, and travel plans. Once on campus, students will be supported around cultural and religious needs, as well as celebrated during cultural events such as Lunar New Year, Hispanic Heritage Month, and more.
During November break, Kents Hill School coordinates homestays for international students, free of charge. Additionally, school breaks provide the opportunity to visit cities such as Portland, Maine and Boston, Massachusetts for authentic cultural dining experiences.
Advisors, teachers and community members work together to make sure International students have the best experience possible during their stay in the United States. Our Learning Specialists provide English Language Support in our Akin Learning Center.
Our college counseling program is highly individualized with counselors who become strong, informed advisors and advocates for our students and their families. We offer support for the Duolingo English Test, international financial aid, and the I-20 transfer process.
Kents Hill graduates enroll in a wide range of outstanding colleges and universities, including Bowdoin College*, New York University*, Trinity College, UC Davis, University of Southern California, Vanderbilt University and Wentworth Insitute of Technology.
