Perspectives approached each penthouse design with unique aesthetic goals. “Our goal was to make each home speak for itself. The two-story residence on the 23rd floor was designed to be edgy, clean and modern. We used a mixture of warm and cool tones throughout, selecting a 24x24 etched porcelain tile as the basis for developing the rest of the palette. It was also important that we choose striking light fixtures to be highlighted against the incredible panoramic views” said Ms. Warren. Every time the door is opened to this penthouse, one is struck by the light flowing through the floor-to-ceiling windows, the magnificent view of nearby Cherry Creek reservoir, and the residence’s clean lines. The artichoke light fixture anchors the two story fireplace and staircase, drawing the eye to the loft above. “The staircase was created using brushed steel components that resemble a sculpture more than a railing,” added Ms. Warren. “It is a central element of this home and adds drama. We took the same brushed steel finish and layered it on custom cabinet paints and glazes, continuing this theme through the hardware and plumbing fixtures in the home.”
