anhquandui Branding / Illustration
anhquandui (which means “the man wearing shorts” in English) is a fiction character that was “born” when I was stuck in a bad mood. His very first version was a little hand-drawing illustration on paper. He gradually became my “signature image” although he has inverse traits with me (gender, appearance, the way of dressing, etc.).

Branding / Packaging / Web Design RuouDanToc is a comany specializing in processing and selling Vietnam’s traditional wines, especially the wine from ethnic groups in the North West of Vietnam. Each product has its own specific flavor which can meet a high standard. However, the brand image and the packages of the company do not meet the standard of the high level wine, and that fact lowers the qualities of the products.
CEE Branding
CEE stands for french ‘Compagnie des eaux et d’électricité d’Indochine’ or, in English, ‘Water & Electricity Company of Indochina’. CEE held the concession of water for both Saigon & Cholon and was the largest of the three electricity suppliers in Cochinchina until the departure of the French. Even though the company no longer exists, its substations of the CEE can still be found easy around Saigon with a very specific blue logotype in an art decor typeface.
Samasa
Branding / Packaging
Samasa is an old-time often-seen matchbox brand with an iconic dragon illustration. The images on Vietnamese matchbox covers before 1975 varied from the traditional – drawings of zodiac animals, to the modern – brand advertising and popular singers of the day. However, the brand had disappeared. The aim of this project is to bring back Samasa, with new identity and package series, make it once again the coolest matches brand.

The brand, focusing on producing products extracted from natural herbs, received a great deal of attention and won the customers’ trust by its quality. The concept: ‘The Beauty of Saigon’.

Mobile CafĂŠ Branding / Packaging
Mobile CafĂŠ is a series of Vietnamese “mobile coffee shopsâ€? in Hanoi. Each “shopsâ€? contains a bicycle and a special designed tin rectangle parrallelpiped barrel, which hold all essential materials for making the drinks. The staffs, who was also trained to be the baristas, will ride the bicycles on particular streets to sell and deliver drinks to customers. Mobile CafĂŠ engaged to provide their customers with quick hygienic drinks at popular prices.

RMIT Internal 3on3 Basketball Tournament 2016 Branding
RMIT 3on3 Basketball Tournament is the yearly internal basketball tournament held by the RMIT Vietnam Female Basketball Club (FBC). The participants of the tournaments are current students, alumni and staffs of the RMIT University Vietnam. The RMIT 3on3 Basketball Tournament 2016 officially kicks off on 21st March 2016, with 09 male teams and 5 female teams.

mr.potato World Cup Illustration
mr. potato, founded in 2014, is the first 100% potato shop in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The fresh potatoes were harvested from fertile farms across Vietnam before being put under a process to lock all the nutrition. The restaurant provides the menu with potatoes in different shapes, and customers can choose different kind of sauce. This is the illutration project for a promotion campaign of mr. potato during the time of World Cup 2014. It contains 32 different “mr. potato� in 32 different jerseys of 32 different national football teams participating in the World Cup 2014.

Cowan Vietnam’s Wall Decoration Illustration / Typography
During the time I worked as an intern designer at Cowan Vietnam, I was assigned a task to find ideas to decorate a white pillar in the company’s new office. It was an interesting project as I started to brainstorm and sketched without seeing the real pillar. Every hints I got were just some brief descriptions from my supervisor. However, the project was finally cancelled due to some changes in the orientation. I continue developing it as a personal ‘imaginary’ project.

It may be too “formal” to call it “a project” as it is more like a way to express my thoughts and feelings when I felt it was hard to express through words. This is a video produced for the wedding of Thai Ha (BÊo) and Ngoc Minh (Mèo). The concept of the video was hand drawn animation which tells the love story of the two main characters.

‘Struggle For Pleasure’ is a song by Wim Mertens. The main concept of the music video is a process in which a young female adult reacts with the society she lives in. She is forced to conform to the outdated social preconceptions, as well as to face the difficulties and traps that she had never known when she was still in her parents’ arms. She has to experience numerous negative feelings: sadness, loneliness, depression, and even anger.
