Scenic Drives Yaak River Scenic Loop (95 miles paved 2 lane highway): Follow the Kootenai River west on Highway 2 to Highway 508 (Yaak River Road) returning to Libby via Highway 567 (Pipe Creek Road). Kootenai Falls Park (11 miles west on highway 2) showcases the magnificent Kootenai Falls and the swinging bridge. The Yaak Falls on Highway 508 offers another scenic viewpoint. The Lake Koocanusa Scenic Byway travels 67 miles one way from Libby to Eureka on Hwy 37 along the Kootenai River and Lake Koocanusa Reservoir. Expect to see beautiful lake and mountain views and abundant wildlife year-round. Lake Pend Oreille-Kootenai River Super Side Trip (from the International Selkirk Loop): This route is a 127-mile loop. Begin on highway 2 west, past the Kootenai Falls Park to Highway 56. Highway 56 offers views of the Cabinet Mountain Wilderness, Bull Lake, and a short side trip to the Ross Creek Cedars. Continue south to Highway 200 then west along Lake Pend Oreille to Sandpoint, North to Bonners Ferry on Highway 95, then back to Libby going east on Highway 2.
