The Music that is. It

flows just about every day at festivals, parks, mountaintops, valleys and various venues. Supported by a growing number of theater groups, local playwrights and young talent, it's just a fun kind of town.

If you can't find something to do in Sandpoint, it might not be our fault. Top: The Festival at Sandpoint is an outdoor, 8-day concert series in August that attracts return visitors and world-class performers year after year.

Local personality "Sprouts" pulls out his mandoline at a neighborhood Harvest Festival.

Middle: The Hive is a new downtown venue bringing live music and nightlife to Sandpoint. Bottom: Local celebs The Shook Twins hold an impromptu fundraiser in their hometown.

It Just Comes

naturally

The Beauty that is. It

flows from below, it seeps from above. It's just that kind of town. With the lake and town predominantly surrounded by public lands, and boxed in by the Selkirk, Cabinet and Coeur d'Alene mountains, Sandpoint tops the charts in accessible beauty.

Lake Pend Oreille in the summer and Schweitzer all winter ... we've got nonstop adventure, if that's your pace. Secret swimming holes and favorite beaches are the material of childhood memories. More than 20 public campgrounds and almost as many private RV parks are found in Bonner County, around Sandpoint, Lake Pend Oreille and Priest Lake. More than a dozen public boat launch sites access Lake Pend Oreille, plus there are numerous small lakes and alpine lakes.
