Business Overview Lip Lab by Bite is a pop-up shop created by Bite Beauty. Bite Beauty is a Canadian cosmetic company established in 2012 by its founder Susanne Langmuir. Inspired by kitchen chemistry and driven to fill the void for the cosmetics she wanted Bite Beauty was made. All Bite Beauty products are made with food-grade ingredients and natural components. Management Compensation Management (Theresia Aryani, Ray Crawford, Keris Thomas, and Jodie Wong) will receive equal compensation through Bite Beauty Headquarters.
Personnel Compensation Bite Beauty Pop-up only desires four cosmetologist that have worked at least three years in the industry to become our artists. A full week of work will be 35 hours, $15 per hours. Artist will make $2,100 for the entire duration of the pop-up and will also enjoy possible expansion with the brand or a perma4
nent occupation. The commission will be determined by selling of the customized lipsticks retailing for $150. Artists are urged to sell 15 per day to receive commission for the product. They also will be able to mix two lipsticks of their own.Receptionist or management are Bite Beauty management employees. Bite Beauty Lip Lab Pop- Up will also incorporate a music producer who will be compensated once for all the tracks produced for the duration of the pop-up and this will total to $ 1,000. Bite Beauty Pop-Up will be located on 3035 Peachtree Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30305, behind Sephora. Sephora offers a small collection of Bite Beauty products and having the pop-up next door only gives more publicity. This location is in the heart of Buckhead. It is located in a luxury shopping center and this location allows people who live in the high rises to walk to the venue. This pop-up is also only minutes from Lenox Square. With people typically spending 15 to 20 minutes in the Sephora location we assume the Bite Beauty customer will spend 20 minutes to an hour. This pop-up will be by appointment only and this factor will separate it from all other beauty pop-ups.
Location Features Bite Beauty Lip Lab at Buckhead Exchange will be seen from the signage in all the appropriate locations directing all customers to the side of Sephora. This will entice the customers to book appointments to have their own custom lipsticks. The highlights of the Bite Beauty location include free parking, minutes from Lenox Square, and walking distance to Sephora. In the neighborhood is a Trader Joe’s, three bars, nail salon, furniture stores, Kroger, Whole Foods, and Publix. This Bite Beauty pop-up will be the first location in the southeastern region and will resemble an upscale, modern bar. This will appeal to the target customer. The location is already in the neighborhood with many restaurants.The delivery trucks will access to deliver all good to the facility when needed. The 500 square-foot Space C will host the sales floor with 100 square-feet being allocated to the lab room and rest rooms. Buck14
head Exchange leasing office has quoted a short-term lease rent of $650 per week for six weeks equaling $3,900 for the entire pop-up shop. Utilities are not included in the rent and will handled through Bite Beauty Lip Lab Headquarters. Utilities will total to $100 for the six week pop- up shop period. This is a short term lease. The lessee is responsible for taxes, insurance, and maintenance of the leased space. The financial plan reflects the costs including taxes, insurance, and maintenance fees. The lease will last for six weeks beginning 15th of January 2018 and concluding beginning 19th February 2018.
Target Market Considerations Sephora and Nars are Bite Beauty Competitors although Bite Beauty is having a sponsorship from Sephora. Nars is down the road in Shops at Buckhead approximately one mile. This location is on the right side of the road behind Sephora there will be signage telling everyone at where the physical location is. This location is easy to get in and out of with free parking right in front of the venue. Peachtree Street is always busy and always has events. Set up will begin a week before the grand opening and take down will last a week also. This location will have restroom inside the venue. Bite Beauty Lip Lab targets professional women ages 21 to 50 who have a sense of luxury. The target market lives in the Buckhead area and love having their work and play in a centralized area. This pop- up will reintroduce Bite Beauty’s experiences with culture. The Buckhead area including Buckhead Exchange is a higher income neighborhood with many shops and restaurants to please everyone’s needs. Buckhead Exchange can be located using google maps.
Leasehold Improvements Bite Beauty pop-up will not need many renovations to the venue. The facility is already designed for a restaurant style including public restrooms for customers. The parking lot already has accommodations for handicap parking as well as ramp. It will take a week to prepare for the grand opening of Bite Beauty pop-up.
Other Location Expenses Bite Beauty Lip Lab Pop- Up will require security to protect the ingredients as well as the employees during the duration of the pop-up.
Signage Signage is vital in opening any business. It is important to let your customers know where your location is exactly. The signage will include a store sign donated by Bite corporate, signs in Lenox Square, Philips Plaza, Shoppes at Buckhead, Ponce City Market, signs in Sephora, and signs in Whole Foods, Trader Joes. Also we will let national and local publications advertise about the Atlanta locations opening. Customers will also be able to make reservations online so they can ensure there will be a time and spot for them.
Internet Strategies Bite Lip Lab will not be selling online they will only be offering their services. We will only be advertising the new Atlanta location and the service prices on the Bite Beauty site. By having this lipstick customization services, they are able to choose exactly what they want from a lipstick while being reassured that the ingredients used are of a good quality.

She’s working or attending college and lives within a metropolitan area. She tries to lead an eco-friendly and health conscious lifestyle and believes that her makeup and skincare products should reflect that. She loves beauty products and is willing to invest money into it.
Future Markets This Pop Up store is a market test and if it proves successful, we can build a permanent store, preferably within the Buckhead area. Furthermore, BITE could expand into other cities with large populations and high purchasing power like Chicago, Miami, Boston and Dallas.

However, in a similar survey titled ‘America’s Vainest Cities’, data showed that Chicago, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Phoenix and Miami were the highest. People in these cities believe in investing money into their image, be it cosmetics and surgery.
Some direct competitors include NARS, MAC and BareMinerals - which are all popular makeup brands within the Buckhead area. As for indirect competitors, Neiman Marcus, Nordstroms and Saks Fifth Avenue also have a wide range of makeup products and complimentary beauty services. First of all, we are the only store in Atlanta offering this type of service. It’s a unique experience that we believe will draw beauty lovers wanting to own a completely personalized lipstick.
Our primary target market are women of middle and upper classes with high disposable incomes or allowances living in the metro Atlanta or just outside of the city. Since our pop up shop will be up for only a month, we expect that there will be women travelling into Atlanta to take part in this experience before it goes. These women are all beauty lovers and have a good knowledge on beauty products, therefore would be willing to pay for the experience and quality of our customised lipsticks. 19

Sales Strategy Our sales strategy is to utilizing Shoptify to Track sales plan and control inventory. We will also utilizing iPad for payment. Promotional Events & Publicity Were going to have a launching party for the promotional events. We’re going to have a Dj and invite bloggers, Atlanta influencers, and celebrities. We’re going to use the promotional events as publicity.
Evaluating Marketing Efforts We will, first of all, be measuring our sales numbers to evaluate our marketing effort. We will also be conducting surveys in person and online and monitoring online commentary on how customers have reacted to our marketing campaign. We will also be asking for feedback from employees of our popup to measure the effectiveness of our marketing efforts. This way, we are able to determine if our campaign messages have been clear and have been driving people into our store. With this feedback, we are also able to revise our plans.
Brand Strategy Inspired by kitchen chemistry with a DIY feel. Susanne Langmuir wanted to fill the void for cosmetics she wanted. The brand stands for natural based product that’s both eco-conscious and beautiful. Since the place named Lip Lab by Bite, we will have a laboratory like environment in the store and the Lip Lab Artists will wear lab coat. The environment going to be open, comfortable, friendly, and customers can ask whatever they want and need to these BITE Lip Lab Artists. We will provide a waiting area and there will be 3 Lip Lab Artists at a time and a receptionist to welcome and help the customer. To make it easier, reservation will also be available to people to avoid crowds in the store. People can come in when their appointment time is approaching. Advertising & Promotion To advertise this business, we will promote it in the BITE beauty’s website (http://bitebeauty.com) and on Sephora’s website (https://www.sephora.com). We will be utilizing Mailchimp service to send emails to people. We will be posting on the BITE beauty’s and Sephora’s Instagram and Facebook so the follower can be aware of the pop up event. Reporting Policies We will have a set of policies and procedures for all employees to sign and a manual readily available for them to refer to. It will encompass the types of payment, product pricing, layaway, returns and exchanges, shoplifting and other policies such as general housekeeping and customer service. Employee Development All lip lab artists will be hired within the Atlanta metropolitan area and must have at least two years working experience in the cosmetics industry. They will be trained a week before the launch of the pop up shop, where they will be briefed about the company, ethics and their duties.A member of the management team will be there at all times to supervise and help if needed. Staffing Levels Our pop up store will have four lip lab artists on rotation. There will always be three in store to work with clients. One member of the management team will fill in as receptionist to welcome customers and ensure operations are being run smoothly. This will ensure that no person will ever be left alone in the store. Hours / Days of Operations We will be open 7 days a week from Monday through Sunday from 11am to 7pm. We are following Bite Beauty’s regular store hours.

Inventory Control Since we have a limited selling space, we will be replenishing ingredients weekly from the Bite Beauty office. This will help to prevent waste.
