KERMIT LIANG ABOUT ME
I studied architecture after graduated from civil engineering because I found my interest in architectural design. After a period of hard work, I got all the credits of design for being eligible to attend the architect examination, and successfully accomplished my thesis as well, which made me get the ticket to the architecture.
Therefore, I have been being through with many experiences. I used to be a guitar teacher, a songwriter and a leader of my band, and occasionally did charity performances for countryside kids. Also, I had been joining the Taiwan Army Special forces for being a paratrooper. Last but not least, I had got the Advanced Open Water Diver certification because of strong interest in the ocean. As you can see, I am a person who loves to create, challenge myself, learn something new and always be passionate about life.

Taiwan Water Corporation Company hold the land for almost 60 years since Japanese colonization. In early times, the water treatment plant was located on the same site before relocated. Therefore, this site has been abandoned for almost 20 years. The design concept is 'natural and artificial balancing '; As a result, we preserved trees as many as possible and renovated historical buildings for new-used. Only build a dormitory, an office building and 20 classrooms, for new.
Furthermore, we divided the area to three different uses and created a cross-over footbridge to connect every building on the second floor so to create the feel it was like a trail in the forest. I participated the competition and responsible for the plan, facade, 3D model, rendering and diagram.

Mospen Company is one of the prime flush mount lighting and pendant lighting manufacturers located in Taiwan since 1980. Planning to establish new factories in . This project included an office building(7,400m2), a stuff dormitory(5,200m2), 8 factories(total 54,400m2 ), landscape, front gate, and fence.
I was responsible for the plan design, facade design, landscape, 3d model, rendering and briefing document with my manager. Also, I have participated in design meeting with the client.

Underground parking garage with an urban public park above plays a significant role in the crowded city as Taipei. Most of the underground parking garage always hot and unventilated. Therefore, the highlight of the project is to create a couple of skylights, not only to increase the natural light but also let fresh air into the underground. The underground parking and facility built by finished concrete wall, glass, and steal with the surrounded buildings to showcase the modern and neat of the city. I was responsible for plan design, facade design, 3D model and rendering.

SITE ANALYSIS
The site was located at Neihu district in Taipei city where was newly developed. There are a lot of office buildings, a citizen sport center and a high school in the neighborhood. Therefore, a large number of people will share this space.

Proton therapy equipment is popular radiation therapy in recent years. It's more precise and effective way to treat cancer than before, and many countries start to set up proton therapy in their city, including China, Japan, Singapore, Korea, etc. There are two main systems of proton therapy equipment, IBA and Mitsubishi. As the result, this project is from IBA, a Belgium company. This project is extremely unique than other architecture design. It has to be more focus on the precision and function of equipment requirements. Furthermore, communicating with the equipment vendor, engineering, and client is also important. Fortunately, Taipei Medical University authorized J.C. Yang and Partners to be the local architect. Therefore, this is my first experience of processes from schematic design to construction documents.

This is S2C2 accelerator, a compact cyclotron. Accelerate and release the proton and support the gantry.
Because of radiation sources, it has to provide shielding. Wall configuration, material and thickness are important.

Taipei city second funeral parlor has two part. Because government wanted to combine two old parlor into one place. This site has already been used for funeral so that have to build one after another. But the first funeral parlor was received by us. The second project is much easier to get. 3D model, rendering and p.p.
This competition was including two elementary schools. I was responsible for one, plan and elevation. This school already reconstructed haft of class room 3 years ago. Therefore the most of design elements must blend into another building as one school. Plan design, Facade design, 3D model, rendering and p.p.
In recent years, Taipei city starts to rebuild many schools. Renewal of urban planning is very important to Taipei. The design has to be based on old building because most of projects don’t reconstruct all the buildings. I was responsible for the elevation design. Facade design, 3D model, rendering and p.p.
This is my first project. I assisted an architect with CAD, 3D model and rendering. Start to watch and learn. We spend 4 months for this project. Unfortunately, the owner canceled this project in the end. But I will never forget my first case. Facade design, 3D model, rendering and p.p.
