the rebuild for edison elementary school revolves around a quadrant program with a lively courtyard at the heart of school and learning. the classrooms occupy the north and south of the central courtyard taking advatange of the best daylight. the building’s west block can be closed from the rest of the school for community events in the gym and cafeteria. the east block is the media, library and main entrance.

Using a simple frame, we digitally “stretched� a mesh between a frame to explore various minimal surface intersections. We utilized a mannequin to cross reference the size of the aperatures so the piece could be worn on the body.
