It is only now, as I am applying for this course, that I am truly analysing my relationship with television and film and, it is only now that I have come to realise how much of an impact it has had on my life. I am one of those people that gets hooked on a story line, who becomes emotionally involved with the characters playing out scenarios in front of me and I am the one who will have tears streaming down my face as the credits roll. My husband tells me it is, ‘somatosensation through social perception’; to me it is identifying with the characters and believing that what I am seeing is real. It has only ever been one of those untouchable dreams that I could be a part of something as phenomenal as making people believe in a film or television show. To make someone believe that what is in front of them is real; real people, in real situations and in real locations. I had no idea that my decision to become an Interior Designer would ultimately lead me to the opportunity to follow my untouchable dream. This is why I have applied to do this course, as I honestly believe it is what I am meant to do.
