......... about artweek .......... One of the largest open art exhibitions in the UK Holmfirth Artweek is a local event with a national reputation. The majority of the exhibitors are from the local area but large numbers of visitors come from all over the country to view and to buy. It’s astounding how much artistic talent there is locally and it is this that makes the event such a success every year. As Holmfirth Artweek is a fundraising event, all work submitted must be for sale. A commission of 20% is charged on sales in the exhibition, the market & the fringe with all proceeds being donated to Macmillan Cancer Support. The main exhibition in the Civic Hall is one of the biggest open exhibitions in the country featuring work by over 400 professional & amateur artists.
Dates for the main Artweek Exhibition 2015 are:

......... the 2015 fringe .......... Every year, Holmfirth Artweek encourages businesses and individuals around Holmfirth and the Holme Valley to create exhibition space and open their doors to showcase the work of artists from across the region. 2015 is no exception - this year 21 venues make up our fringe exhibition -featuring an exciting and diverse array of work from photographers, painters, textile-makers, ceramicists, sculptors and more. This guide is your handbook to the 2015 fringe, giving you a flavour of the exhibitions on offer and helping you plan your way around Artweek. Many venues offer a preview night - details are listed on each page - and as always, work sold during Artweek offers a minimum 20% commission towards Macmillan Cancer Support.
