Dedicated Service from Kosnic UK At Kosnic, we aim to anticipate the future needs of our customers. Most importantly, we hold a large volume of stock at our 3,500 sq. ft warehouse in Newbur y so that orders can be dispatched same day. Project Team - What We Do At Kosnic, the design, development and manufacture of low energy LED lamps is our business. So is helping our customers think about their lighting and how it can help combat everincreasing energy prices, reduce energy consumption and lower carbon emissions. Lighting will typically account for around 25% to 40% of a buildings energy usage. Kosnic LED lamps can dramatically reduce this, using between 50% and 90% less energy than traditional lamp types such as halogen, fluorescent or filament.

What We Do Our Project Team offer a complimentar y service to our Wholesale and Distribution partners, helping clients understand the kind of energy savings that can be made by switching to low energy LED lighting. We have many LED products particularly well suited to specification and project work, for many different applications ranging from: • Commercial offices. • Schools, colleges and universities. • Retail department stores. • Leisure facilities. • Apartment blocks. • Storage, warehousing and manufacturing. • Outdoor areas such as car parking and security zones. As well as consuming considerably less power, Kosnic LED lamps are designed for easy installation. Project Team Services We work closely with our Wholesale and Distribution partners. Through a number of specialised services, our aim is to help build a compelling business case and make the transition to Kosnic LED lamps as simple and easy as possible. We encourage you to bring your project to us, where our Project Team can provide a range of services including: • Client liaison and site surveys. • Cost of ownership calculations. • Lighting design schemes. • Technical support. • Sales tools and product selection advice. • Guidance on regulator y compliance.

Client Liaison and Site Surveys To enable us to build a picture of the project, provide accurate replacement models and cost saving calculations, we require information such as the type of lamps currently being used, quantities involved, working areas and usage. Depending on the complexity and scale of the project, we will visit the premises to conduct a site survey.

Cost of Ownership Calculations After conducting a site survey, we will prepare a detailed cost analysis to present to both you and the client. Our cost of ownership calculator highlights the key comparisons between existing lamps and the proposed Kosnic LED replacement, showing the overall annual spend reduction, KwHr reduction, CO2 emission reduction and payback period. Whatever the size of the project, helping secure the clients approval is our aim.

Project Team Services As part of our service, we offer advice on product selection, regulator y compliance and lighting schemes. We have also produced a number of sales tools and documentation for project work: • Guidance on the number of Kosnic LED panels required in various room sizes, ranging from 4m 2 up to 100m 2 with all configurations in between. • Advice on the Emergency Spacing required for our LED panels and downlighters in order to meet the current guidelines. • CIBSE recommended lux levels for various applications. • Energy Saving Lamp Guide showing the most common types of lamps and their LED equivalents.

Lighting Schemes At Kosnic, our technical expertise and experience within the lighting industr y allows us to develop lighting schemes that are positive for people as they are sustainable for the environment and for business. The Project Team can create a lighting scheme for your clients using industr y recognised Dialux or Relux software. Once the design criteria such as room dimensions, ceiling height, working area (bedroom, corridor, office etc.) have been established, we can present a professional 3D design visual back to the client. This can even include elements such as work surfaces, tables, windows and chairs. Of course, if you already have an in-house lighting design team, we are happy to work alongside you and provide the necessar y specification and photometric data required.

The Project The Hi-Tide delivers a unique lounge, cabaret, function and entertainment experience in Porthcawl, South Wales. Available for corporate events, weddings and parties, the showpiece function room caters for up to 200 people providing bar, dining, dance floor and ballroom facilities. Such constant all year round activity means that energy use is high, so while the lighting scheme must be capable of creating the right atmosphere and ambience, it must also minimise running costs such as replacements, stock, maintenance and energy bills. The Kosnic Solution Kosnic's 5.5W LED dimmable candle lamps were chosen to replace the legacy 40W halogen version and were supplied with a mixture of screw caps. The candle lamps were installed in the hanging lights above the bar counter and in the ceiling chandeliers adjoining the bar. LED strip lighting was installed behind and under the bar counter to create a vibrant lighting effect, with staff able to change the colour, speed and fade timing to create a bespoke lighting scheme to suit the mood and occasion. The ceiling above the main dining and ballroom floor area was populated with 40 Kosnic 4.5W LED downlighters, replacing the existing 50W halogen GU10's. Kosnic were able to retrofit all LED replacements.

KTC-PRO Suitable for the most demanding of professional users, Kosnic's KTC-Pro range offers MR16 lamps that deliver huge energy savings without compromising on brightness. The lamps can be quickly retrofit and there is broad compatibility with legacy dimming systems. Once in place, minimal maintenance is required and rapid payback is achieved. Consumers have suffered with poor compatibility of LED lamps with halogen transformers, causing lamps to flicker or fail to start. Not any more, our KTC G5.3 lamp works with most halogen transformers as well as LED drivers.

The Project Garibaldi College was founded in the 1960s and provides a first class educational experience to 850 pupils aged from 11 to 18, including 130 Sixth Form students. Kosnic were invited to prepare a comprehensive energy audit of the college's existing light fittings and propose retrofit replacement LED lamps that would, as a minimum requirement, retain the existing light levels and reduce energy consumption. Garibaldi stipulated a payback period of less than 5 years, taking into account the purchase of the replacement LED products, new light fittings and installation costs. The Kosnic Solution The existing light fittings comprised of a large number of 5ft and 6ft T8 fluorescent tubes fitted into surface or recessed fluorescent fittings. There were also large quantities of 600mm x 600mm fluorescent fittings using 4 x 18W T8 fluorescent tubes, in addition to 28W 2D surface fluorescent fittings. The existing 4 x 18W T8 tubes produced only 180 Lux, so the use of 45W Kosnic LED panels proved the ultimate solution with a new improved Lux level of 320 Lux. Staff and pupils have been ver y positive, noting how great the new lighting looks and that it's a brighter and happier environment to learn in.

Commercial Kosnic takes a fresh approach to functional lighting with the Commercial range. This is a range of LED products that encapsulates our modular design philosophy, offering plug -in emergency packs and optional microwave sensor, eliminating the barriers to retrofitting LEDs in commercial fittings. For example, all 12W and 18W LED DD lamps are emergency ready and can be easily converted to a maintained emergency lamp with the simple addition of a Kosnic emergency module. With absolutely no rewiring, the LED DD can be converted to a sensor fitting with our plug-in microwave sensor. We understand how office lighting works, that ’s why our serial LED T8 tubes are designed to retrofit fluorescent T8 tubes, where the tubes are paired and connected in series.

The Project As one of the largest building materials suppliers to the UK construction industr y, EH Smith strives to offer the most up to date sustainable, energy efficient and low-carbon products available on the market. When work started on a new Sustainable Products Training Centre, EH Smith worked with Kosnic's Project Team to develop a lighting scheme that included LED panels, LED downlighters and tilt/adjustable LED downlighters. The Kosnic Solution Kosnic's LED panels were the ideal solution for the training rooms as they provide perfect task illumination and, as they are virtually flicker-free, visual comfort. EH Smith needed just 20 LED panels in the demonstration room, compared to a traditional lighting specification of 46 fluorescent fittings. This reduction was due to the superior light output and efficiency of the LED panel. In the seminar room, adjustable LED downlighters feature along the side of the main wall. These provide an aesthetically pleasing ambience and just enough light for note-taking while visitors are listening to presentations or watching demonstrations of the latest energy efficient products.

LED Panel Light

LED Panel Light The Kosnic LED ceiling and wall panels are an easy retrofit for standard ceiling tile fittings in offices, schools and commercial buildings. In this environment, our panel offers edge-lit technology to achieve constant light across the surface of the luminaire, resulting in high lumen efficiency and uniform light output. The 600mm x 600mm panels are available in 30W, 36W, 40W, 45W and 50W versions and now include a 600mm x 1200mm panel to complement the range. They have a long operating life of 40,000 hours, reducing energy consumption by more than 50% compared with a traditional fluorescent fitting. Plug-in emergency modules convert the panels to a maintained emergency fitting that dims to 10% of normal light output when in emergency mode. The LED panels are super slim at only 8.5mm thickness and are suitable for surface mounting or suspended installation.

LED Bulkhead

LED Bulkhead Corridors, staircases, lift shafts, security zones and public spaces require robust lighting with emergency and sensor features. The Kosnic LED bulkhead delivers just that, slim yet durable, cost-effective and requiring minimal maintenance. Designed exclusively for use with Kosnic LED DD lamps, the bulkhead takes advantage of integrated dimming module and microwave motion sensor options. With this in place, the bulkhead automatically dims to 10% light output. It maintains this light level until movement is detected, upon which the bulkhead is switched to full brightness. The range includes IP65 and IP44 versions, allowing for indoor and outdoor use. Both fittings are available in a variety of configurations with LED DD lamps or with a dedicated internal LED tray.

LED Downlight LED technology offers true potential to conserve energy on a massive scale. Kosnic's LED downlight range is the backbone of thousands of lighting schemes - offering a portfolio of affordable products with high lumen efficiency and long operating life. Our Commercial LED downlight is a direct retrofit for widely used 4", 6" and 8" fluorescent downlighters. The 7.5W and 8W fire-rated downlight range includes an integrated low profile LED light engine with an output of up to 480 lumen. Both products are emergency ready, available with dimming options, and can be converted to maintained emergency light with a simple plug-in module.

LED Floodlight Kosnic LED floodlights are available in 10W, 30W, 50W and 80W, featuring an integrated LED driver for direct replacement of power hungr y tungsten halogen floodlights. The floodlights are instant start and require no warm up. Once in position, they make energy savings of up to 90%, lasting on average up to 27 times longer than traditional tungsten halogen lamps. 10W and 30W LED floodlight features built-in PIR motion sensor, with 12 metre and 180 degree detection zone.
