OakOak is a french street artist that uses his keen sense of observation and humour to make objects come to life. Based in the old industrial town of St. Etienne, France, oakoak uses the cracks in walls, sidewalks and streets. He often uses pop culture icons such as Bender from Futurama and Homer from the Simpsons to instill life into the greying streets of this reconverted town.
same time, funnier. Humor is really important to me. It’s definitely the most important element in what I do. My main interest is giving importance to places and objects that people don’t notice anymore. I walk a lot every day and that’s how I get to find new attractive places with urban elements such as broken walls for example.
When I see something interesting during my walks, I measure it and ‘Since I come from Saint Etienne, study it, and I come back later an old industrial city which is now to make the collage. I prefer to in reconversion , I have the need prepare the drawings and drafts at to my city less “grey” and at the home.’ In an interview with Bulkka he said
