Carrie asks “I’ve recently moved house and while I love my new home, it needs so much work! I’m fed up of it looking such a mess, but need to spend time saving money before I can make any changes. How can I feel better about the space in the meantime?”

Some people can live in chaotic conditions, others prefer to have more comfort and order in their lives. As a Taurus, Carrie’s home is the place where she should feel happiest and most comfortable. She will feel as if she is letting herself down by not being able to afford the changes that will make her place a reflection of her personality. Renovating a home takes time and if Carrie has only recently moved in, she will have known this would be a longterm project. With Mercury and Venus in Aries, she will be impatient to get started on home improvement projects and with Mars in Gemini, once her income improves, she will attack this problem head-on and it won’t take long to transform her surroundings. In the meantime, she can draw on her Taurus need for tidiness to keep her home clutter free and satisfy her sensual side by adding luxurious touches like scented candles, fluffy towels and fine art pieces to her home.

Becky asks “My daughter has recently had her first child and I can’t wait to help babysit and look after my new granddaughter when she goes back to work. However, my husband (a Scorpio) thinks we should be enjoying our retirement and not dedicating so much time to childcare. What can I say to him?”

Becky is a Libran with Venus, Mars and Neptune in Scorpio which is why she and her husband will be compatible. Scorpios have powerful personalities and Becky can be as intense and serious about her views as her husband. With Jupiter in the family sign Cancer, Becky is looking forward to being grandma to their granddaughter. Her house will always be open to family, friends and even strangers. It is natural for her to want to help with childcare but she should respect her husband’s wishes too. She might suggest agreeing on the ground rules from the start to ensure that in time they don’t get over-tired or stressed and are able to enjoy their retirement while caring for their grandchild part-time.
