Logo

kevin kolland The logo is the result of an process orientated design. Main goal of this process was to achieve a simple symbol which implements the initials of my first and second name.

It consists of three triangle which point to the left. This includes the meaning of catching the light, a moment, an experience and much more.

Design / Descritpion

Simple The logo consists of only three triangles combined with the fist and second name.

Reduced The components of the logo are made out of black/white lines. No color is added.

Catchy Only on the second view itâ&#x20AC;&#x2DC;s possible to recognize what the symbol is about. This moment of sudden insight burns this logo in ones mind.

Exclusion Zone The minimum exclusion margin zone is based on 25% of the length of the logo. This empty area must be maintained on all sides. On all sides, the exclusion zone schould be mesured from the farthest edge of the logo.

The logo can be used in all size without one exception. If the lenght of the whole logo goes under 4 cm the lettering can be omitted or be set on the right side. The storke weight of the symbol increases to two pt.

A minimum size for the symbol itself is not set.

Usage of the loogo

Color Simplicity is one of the main ingredients of this logo. This is the reason why it is abdicated to use any colors. Only contrasts are used to shape out the symbol.

Printmedia (CMYK) Cyan 0% Yellow 0% Magenta 0% Black 100%

To have the possibility of using the logo on dark as well as bright surfaces, it is allowed to invert it.

Digital media (RGB) Red 0% Green 0% Blue 0%

The color scheme on the right is set for the black logo on white surface.

Incorrect usage

Incorrect use It is not allowed to change the logo in following ways:

use thicker lines for the logo

frame the logo

colorize the logo

change the lines or colorize parts of the logo

put the logo on a colorized square

use a different font

Corporate fonts

Neutra Text The corporate typeface is Neutra. This full font family comes in a range of weights to suit a multitude of purposes. It was optimised for print, web and mobile interfaces and has excellent legibility characteristics in its letterforms. Furthermore it supports the idea of smiplicity and elegance. For the corporate design two options are permitted: Neutra (light) and Neutra (bold). Bold is only used to highlight text parts.

FagoCoTf-Caps The perfect suplement for Neutra is FagoCoTf-Caps. This typeface consists of capital letters only. It is more condenced and each letter is taler than the font famliy Neutra. The legability is as good as Neutra, the letters are more lively but still elegant.

Usage of the fonts

The phsysical connection Neutra Text (bold) is used to highlight spezific parts within text passages.

FagoCoTf-Caps (regular) is used for head lines.

Jules Janin (1804-1874). Er beschreibt diese physische Verbindung als positives Phänomen. Die fotografierten Objekte verwandeln sich „unvermittelt in ihre eigene Abbildung“ und können dadurch an jeden Ort der Welt gebracht werden. „Zwischen Bild und Objektherrscht eine materielle Kontinuität, ja sogar Identität: Eine Fotografie ist, was sie zeigt – ohne Übertragungsverlust oder ästhetischen Eigenwert.“ Neutra Text (light) is used for main text.

Branding

Businesscard

Businesscard For the businesscard a 500g matt paper with black edges is used. It is produced in landscape format with a dimension of 55x85mm. The card is designed based on negative-positive-principals. On the negative (black) side there is just the logo placed in the centre. The other side shows the most important informations. This informations are placed in the lower left corner. Empty space for additional notes is left.
