Introduction: Open Invitation to Collaborate – A Music Making Well-Beings SEND Eco-System
In 1026 Guido D’Arezzo wrote the Micrologus (small manual) changing music making – forever. The lost legacy is the SEND based Multi-Sensory way he taught it and its impact on our lives – with or without SEND. Since 2000 the latest Neuroscience & Social Neuroscience shows it is the single most important issue for our cognitive development + wellbeing. Yet 98% of tes SEND Show participants had never heard of the syndrome or implications of ‘Dysmusia’. We are calling for joint participation in the MoMMii 2026 initiative, inviting SEND organizations, educators, and music platforms to contribute to a unified approach for musicmaking and wellbeing through the 4P’s below and a focus on exposing Dysmusia through our YouGov based Circle of Glyphs & Dys’. Will you join in? Dysmusia impacts every area of SEND – it is NOT Musical Dyslexia – It is much more….
Section 1: Music Making Well-Beings Policy
The 5 Ways Policy Manuals : Establishing a universal framework for promoting Music Making Well-Beings in the Triple SEND sectors SEND 1 (Educational), SEND 2 (Emotional), and SEND 3 (Experiential). These policy manuals incorporate the 5 Ways to Wellbeing (Connect, Be Active, Take Notice, Keep Learning, Give) into SEND teaching and therapeutic practices, ensuring music is used to support mental, emotional, and social wellbeing.
Section 2: SEND Programmes
MentorMaps & Manuals for the Circle of Glyphs & Dys’ : Focusing on music’s role in supporting individuals with neurodiverse conditions, including Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, ADHD, and Dyspraxia. Each MentorMap and Manual provides tailored approaches to different SEND 1, 2, and 3 needs, using Multi-SENsory teaching to address each unique learning challenge. These guides offer actionable solutions for integrating music-making into everyday learning environments.
Section 3: Practices
Playing Guides based on Multi-SENsory Methods : Practical tools and resources designed to teach music to learners with SEND through Multi-SENsory approaches . These guides highlight key learning platforms such as:
By using visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning, the Playing Guides ensure music learning becomes more accessible and engaging for all learners, regardless of their neurodiversity.
Section 4: Platforms
Partnering with Music Education, Exams, and Industry Leaders : This section outlines partnerships with platforms such as ABRSM, Trinity, Flatio, Noteflight, Lumi, and Fret Zealot , focusing on integrating SEND and wellbeing solutions into their existing structures. Collaborations with music industry leaders and educational institutes are vital for creating unified, accessible musicmaking tools for all abilities.
In addition, partnerships with TES SEND Show exhibitors and chapters based on their expertise will help build specialized content for the MentorMap & Manual .
Conclusion: MoMMii 2026 Launch
The MoMMii 2026 (Millennium of Music Making Innovation and Inclusivity) initiative will bring together all sectors of the music and education industries to create a global, inclusive framework for music-making. This unified approach will ensure that music becomes a central tool for improving wellbeing across all ages, abilities, and achievement levels.
The Macrologus of Music Making Well-Beings aims to position Music Making Well-Beings as the No. 1 Way to Wellbeing , setting a new standard for inclusive music education and emotional support, transforming lives through the power of music.

90% US Households Have NO Musical Instruments!
I have a form of 'line blindness' which requires me to physically hold down the lines and count the lines and spaces to work out the notes, I then transcribe it into letters and play that way. Very time consuming, so I no longer bother.
Stopped reading sheet music and now forgotten how to.
I am diagnosed with ADHD inattentive type, I'm thoroughly interested in and enjoy music, and would love to read and play it, but I just can't, I've tried different instruments and I find it all too difficult, it's such a shame, I really wish I could, whenever I'vr tried in the past, I end up feeling low about my abilities because however hard I try I can't grasp it.
I have visual difficulties and have tried reading or playing music but it was too difficult and I couldn't do it so gave up

I have ADHD, diagnosed as an adult but I experienced the symptoms as a child too. I started to teach myself the piano and have one at home. I’d love to be able to play and practise but when I sit down to do it, my mind is unable to focus on the task at hand. My working memory is extremely poor so it makes it into an onerous and almost futile exercise regardless of my appetite to succeed
I had real difficulty trying to learn music as my co-ordination is not got frustration set in and then it just got worse so i gave up
Was rubbish at reading music and playing the recorder at school. As an adult I tried to learn the guitar, but can’t move my fingers on the chords quickly enough to make a coherent song despite practicing for an hour a day for several months. Did not have time or enjoyed it enough to practice more, so I gave up.
Tried guitar but never got the hang of it or had enough time to dedicate to it.

The Circle of Glyphs & Dys' is an innovative framework – modelled on the well-known Music Model of ‘The Circle of 5ths’ – used to explain keys, modes, chord progression in a very visual way – now designed to unify SEND organisations by creating a shared framework, visual language and research-based solution - through the MentorMap & Manual . This initiative invites all exhibitors and attendees at the TES SEND Show to collaborate on a holistic approach to Music Making Well-Beings and Dysmusia Syndrome, which not only affects individuals with Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, and other neurodiverse conditions, but all who have never tried or given up on music making…… How? With a big bold goal to bring the power of music making well-beings to all abilities, ages and academic achievement levels.
