MALAYA THE EMERGENCY
Malaya found the road to independence hard to navigate. The spread of Communism across the world after World War Two almost took a grip of the Malayan peninsula. Combatting that threat brought the British Armed Service into conflict with a native population. While much of the time for what Leslie Thomas called ‘The Virgin Soldiers’ was the tedium of National Service, there are explosive actions that marked The Emergency. Our tour will give you the chance to gain an insight into life for the men who protected the colony. We will visit the jungles as well the locations of the more high profile events that marked The Emergency. Come with us to take a unique tour, with an experienced guide, of the history and culture of this wonderful country. Join us for an outstanding holiday that we are proud to call a once in a lifetime opportunity.
