LOLLAPALOOZA! What started years ago as a curious attempt to revitalize a cultural relic of the 1990s has blossomed into a highly anticipated annual event that draws hundreds of bands and tens of thousands of fans to Chicago for four days and nights of great music and great times. And even those not planning to attend are sure to feel the energy surrounding the city’s downtown this weekend. We’re talking, of course, about Lollapalooza, Perry Farrell’s formerly traveling rock festival that has been reborn as a massive four-day sit-down in the heart of Grant Park. With multiple stages operating nearly non-stop from early afternoon to late night, festivalgoers need to plan their itineraries carefully in order to catch all of their favorite groups and artists, including Chance the Rapper, The Shins, Arcade Fire and hundreds more. Information on the festival – and many of it’s late-night aftershows – is available at 888.512.7469. 4
