Just as it’s difficult for many Chicagoans to think back to when the area now covered by Millennium Park was an ugly rail yard, it’s hard to recall just a few years back when the now-bustling and beautiful Chicago Riverwalk was an undeveloped and incomplete shoreline. These days, it’s hard to imagine where all of the people now strolling and sunbathing from Lake Michigan to Lake Street and beyond used to spend their warm summer afternoons.
