For just two dazzling days at Chicago’s Auditorium Theatre, Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo, the elite dance company of Monaco known for its elegant, classical style, performs La Belle (The Sleeping Beauty). Revolution Brewery has been a consistent driving force behind that with its popular AntiHero IPA and the brewpub in Logan Square, adorned with a classic tin ceiling and offering a great menu and lively, casual vibe. We recommend the bacon-fat popcorn, monster burgers, smoked pulled pork and fish and chips with a honeyjalepeno slaw. Tasty stuff indeed. Besides AntiHero, their robust, chocolaty Eugene Porter and the Bottom Up Wit, a Belgian-style wheat beer spiced with coriander and orange peel, are two other favorites. review IT’S TASTING TIME MARCH 3 AT THE CHICAGO BEER FESTIVAL BY TRENT MODGLIN It’s time to get that palate ready for a serious variety of lagers, IPAs, stouts, porters, pale ales, Belgians, ambers and ciders. Yep, it’s that time to discover a new favorite among the craft beer craze, as the Chicago Beer Festival will take over the Field Museum on Saturday, March 3 from 7-11 p.m. This massive event will feature a staggering 80 breweries that will be unleashing their seasonal spring beers, plus live music, food options and a select number of the Field Museum’s exhibits open for attendees to peruse. Some of the participating breweries include Bell’s, Lagunitas, Penrose, Founders, Lake Effect, Temperance, Anchor and Sweetwater to name a few, providing a nice mix of local, Midwestern and national brands. VIP admission is $55, and general admission is $45. VIP admission includes early entry at 7 p.m. (as opposed to 8 p.m. for general admission) and specialty beers poured during the first hour.
