ON THE COVER SKY HIGH Most famous for its amazing views of the city’s celebrated lakefront and skyline, the John Hancock Observatory takes the meaning of “winter wonderland” to a whole new level--literally! For the third year in a row, guests can ice-skate above The Magnificent Mile®, at more than 1,000 feet in the sky, alongside family and friends on an intimate synthetic ice-skating rink. During the observatory’s annual Skating in the Sky, kids and adults alike can enjoy an exciting wintertime activity. Visitors can register for 25-minute sessions from 9am until 11pm every day through Apr. 8. Afterward, skaters can relax with a cocktail, a great cup of coffee, and a light snack at the observatory’s Lavazza Espression Café, located just a few strides away. Located at 875 N.
