The iconic Auditorium Theatre (50 E. Congress) is rightly regarded as one of the true hotspots for dance in Chicago, thanks in large part to the many outstanding companies that choose to call it home when they roll out their new seasons. A case in point arrives this week with the return of the world-renowned and wholly original Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater troupe, which has called the Auditorium home for the past 46 years. This program includes a variety of new works by renowned choreographers Paul Taylor, Ronald K. Brown, Rennie Harris and Artistic Director Robert Battle, as well as new productions of classics from the late company founder Alvin Ailey (and his masterpiece Revelations).
