ON THE COVER A TALE OF GOOD & EVIL The Broadway preproduction of a four time Tony-nominated musical Jekyll & Hyde will be playing for two weeks at the Cadillac Palace Theatre (151 W. Randolph). The performance is based off of Robert Louis Stevenson’s novella about a London doctor who promises his mentally ill father that he will find a cure for him during the late 19th century. Dr. Henry Jekyll believes that he can develop a drug that isolates negative personality traits, making them easier to remove. He proposes his idea to the hospital board, and they refuse to support it. Dr. Jekyll believes so firmly in this drug, that he proceeds with his plan and tests it on himself, which creates his evil alternate personality, Edward Hyde.
