MIDNIGHT CIRCUS One tends to think of the circus as bringing a bunch of diverse acts together under one tent. But when the Midnight Circus rolls into one of the city’s neighborhoods – something it does almost every weekend throughout the year – the circus suddenly also becomes about bringing a community together under one tent. Setting up its “little Big Top” in parks all over the city, the Midnight Circus is a scaled-down and lovingly curated version of the circus as it used to be. It’s an up-close-and-personal (not to mention convenient and affordable) opportunity to be thrilled and entertained by a talented cast of hilarious clowns, amazing acrobats and topflight musicians, so step right up and enjoy a homegrown circus experience This Week in Chicago!. The tent goes up this weekend in Wicker Park (1425 N. Damen), with shows Friday at 7pm, and Saturday and Sunday at 2pm and 5pm. Tickets and more information are available at 312.952.8591 or midnightcircus.net. 4
